Rachael Ray Admits To Being ‘Petrified’ In Public
In a recent episode of her podcast, Rachael Ray has admitted to being uncomfortable in social settings. During the conversation, a guest brought up the first time they met. However, the recent conversation comes out as some fans are starting to share their concerns about the celebrity cook.
Rachael Ray’s Guest Shared How They Met At A Party
Ray is known for hosting a variety of food-themed television shows, including her own namesake talk show, Rachael Ray. Since October, Ray has also been the host of her own podcast series, I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead.
During the November 26 episode, Ray interview author Harlan Coben. Known for his work with mystery novels and thrillers, many of Coben’s works have been adapted into film and television.
During the discussions, the issue of social settings came up. As noted by The U.S. Sun, Ray admitted, “I am so scared in social, you gotta go to a Christmas party or here is an event, I am just petrified because I am not good at it. I know I am not.”
Ray continued that, “I like to try things I might be successful at and I know I am not successful at that. I just get nervous.” Coben also noted that he first met Ray at a party, adding that he was the one to introduce himself to her. Ray then noted, “I was petrified and standing next to the wall, I was petrified.”
Some Fans Think Ray Has Hinted At Health Concerns On The Podcast
Fans have also recently shown their concerns over Ray when it comes to the star’s health. When Ray appeared at a cooking show in Tuscany, she appeared to slur her words. Taking to social media, fans at the time shared concerns about the star’s health.
Ray hasn’t directly addressed these concerns on her podcast. However, fans suspect she might have hinted at these issues during the first episode.

At one point, Ray began to share her love of chores, noting, “I like to help carry in the wood.” However, she acknowledged, “I had a couple of bad falls in the last couple of weeks so I haven’t been doing that in a while.”
In a later episode, Ray shared the sentiment that, “I’ve gotten worse as I’ve gotten older, because I feel like time might be shorter, and I want my time to be more, every minute of it.” In another episode, she noted how much her dogs help her. As she shared, “For me, if I have the worst day, or sick as a dog, the things that make me feel best, go home, climb into bed with a blanket with my dog!”
