‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Premiere Date Set By ABC
ABC has announced its midseason premiere dates for several shows that will arrive this season. These shows include fan favorites like The Rookie and Will Trent, a new comedy by Tim Allen, and a popular reality TV show that might become a new guilty pleasure. That is The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Premiering This Midseason On ABC
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will make its broadcast premieres on Monday, January 27, at 10/9c. The reality TV show will follow the season premiere of The Bachelor, which airs at 9.8c, featuring Grant Ellis.
The first season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives dropped its complete first season on September 6, 2024. It featured eight episodes and was Hulu’s most-watched unscripted season premiere in 2024. It ended up so popular that Hulu ordered 20 more episodes for a 2025 release.
While it was thought this would be in the spring, they will arrive much sooner, dropping in January. The series remains controversial from the start. The show features Utah social media influencer Taylor Frankie Paul, who went viral in 2022 for saying she and her husband had been “soft-swinging” with other Mormon couples.
The first season showed the fallout of the scandal. The season was spread out over a long period of time, showing the scandal, the MomTok group, the arrest of Taylor Frankie Paul for domestic assault, and her pregnancy a year later. It also shows the fracture between the “saints” and the “sinners” of the MomTok group.
The second season’s trailer shows that the MomTok group members (past and present) are still acting wild, and the men seem to be unsure of how to deal with it.
What Else Is Premiering This Midseason On ABC?
ABC has a lot planned for the midseason break this season. The rebooted Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will premiere on January 2 – the first mid-season show on the schedule. It is a reboot that will also stream on Hulu and has a pair of brand-new hosts.
Only Murders in the Building Season 2 will have its broadcast premiere the same night and then move to Hulu for its regular schedule. Will Trent and The Rookie both premiere on Tuesday, January 7, with the midseason premiere of High Potential airing in between them.
Celebrity Jeopardy! premieres on Wednesday, January 9 and Shark Tank is back for its new season on Friday, January 18.
