‘Price Is Right’ Fans Think Show Is Phasing Out Old Games

Over the past few months, The Price is Right fans have noticed something interesting. According to some fans, certain games have been missing from the game. It has been so long since they appeared that fans feel the show has eliminated them completely and is phasing out old games.
Here are the games fans have noticed are missing from the popular game show.
Fans Say The Price Is Right Is Eliminating Games
A fan took to Reddit to point out that certain games have not been seen on the show in months. They mentioned Safe Crackers, which they said hasn’t been played in two months. They also said the train and tugboat don’t appear anymore.
Safe Crackers is a game where a player tries to win two prizes by guessing the three-digit combination of a giant safe with both prizes inside it. The combination is the same as the price of the less expensive item. The player then gets three digits and uses each once to attempt to open the safe and win the prizes.
Fans chimed in on what they thought of the missing games:
- “The space for prizes seems to get cramped inside that ‘safe’, too. I recall seeing it in use this season, so who knows if they’re winding down its use?”
- “Most likely a props storage issue. They have very limited storage space, and Safe Crackers is a massive set to have to transport from the storage facility 2 miles away.”
- “Judging by the prop storage issue mentioned here and games that don’t fit in the studio (pay the rent), it would seem whoever approved the new studio did not do their due diligence.”
The Price Is Right Fans Want Another Game Phased Out Too
The commenters also mentioned something that happened a few weeks back and suggested something else be phased out. This happened when the players on Contestant’s Row were supposed to bid on a thermal programmable coffee maker and a coffee bean grinder by Cuisinart.
The show then brought this out on a flatbed pulled by the Price is Right train. However, the train drove onto the stage and suddenly stopped. The model, George Grey, almost fell off the flatbed. However, the prizes weren’t so lucky, and they all fell off and broke.
Drew went on with the bidding as the team all rushed onto the stage to clean up the mess before the players even made it to the stage for the next game. However, one Redditor said, “They should have gotten rid of the train a long time ago, to be honest.”
