Genoa City Should Be On ‘High Alert,’ Warns Writer
Towards the end of the November 14, 2024, episode, two super villains from the show’s past made a special appearance. These include Ian Ward and Aunt Jordan, played by Ray Wise and Colleen Zenk respectively.
The two are expected to take part in some sort of revenge plot. However, details of what they are planning has yet to be revealed.
In a conversation with Deadline, head writer Josh Griffith shared that, “The pairing of Ian Ward and Aunt Jordan will be a double dose of danger.” He continued, “The residents of Genoa City should be on high alert thanks to this intriguing alliance. As a company, we are thrilled to welcome back the talented, Ray Wise and Colleen Zenk to the canvas.”
Wise also spoke to the publication, where he said it was great to be back on the show. As he shared, “It feels like home. I had a great time when I last appeared on the show and am having an even better time now with the talented, Colleen Zenk.”
As Wise continued, “I could not have asked for a better partner in crime and it’s so good to see both Eric Braeden and Melody Thomas Scott again. I look forward to the mischievous Ian Ward causing more havoc in Genoa City. Stay tuned, it’s going to be a whole lot of fun.”
Fans Are Already Speculating On What Could Happen Next
For her part, Zenk shared, “I’m so happy to return to Y&R surrounding the show’s 13,000th episode and be paired with the amazing, Ray Wise.” As she continued, “Jordan is lucky enough to have Ian Ward by her side and she settles some unfinished business while also finding the time to take on some new adversaries as well.”
On Instagram, actress Lauralee Bell, known for playing Christine Blair, shared a post of a press event celebrating the show’s recent milestone. As she shared, “Cheers to us and cheers to you because #thereisnouswithoutyou.”

Both characters certainly made an impression during their time on the show. Ward had been a cult leader who seduced Nikki Newman. Adding to the trauma, he was initially believed to be the biological father of her son Dylan McAvoy, before he was revealed to be sterile.
Meanwhile, Zenk plays Eve Howard’s antagonistic sister who sought revenge on the Newman family. In her last previous scene on the show, she was caught by Eric Brarden’s character Victor Newman and found herself behind bars.
Fans are already speculating what their return could mean for Genoa City. In particular, some suspect Nikki could be targeted with Ian’s return.
