While both fans and cast members have been dreading the moment, the date for the Blue Bloods final episode has been revealed. The cast has already dealt with this, as the final episodes were already shot, but now the fans will have to realize that the end is near and the show is about to go away forever.

Here is what the Blue Bloods season finale will air and what will happen after the show ends.

Blue Bloods Finale Date Revealed

The final episode of Blue Bloods has a premiere date. The show will finally end with the last episode of its final Season 14 on Friday, November 29. The show will air at 10/9c on CBS that night.

The series finale will air live on that Friday night and also be live and on-demand for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the finale airs.

The cast is still not happy that CBS canceled Blue Bloods (via Closer Weekly).

“I don’t quite understand it …? But it is what it is,” Bridget Moynahan (Erin Reagan) said. “I mean, we have incredible ratings … and there’s a loyal fanbase that would make the time on a Friday night to sit down and watch it, or make time over the weekend.”

Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg have also been very vocal about the cancelation, both saying they feel the show should still continue. Cast member Len Cariou also echoed that the cancelation “doesn’t make any sense,” but he is at least happy it is getting a “proper sendoff.”

Blue Bloods Retrospective To Air Before Finale

Before the final episode, CBS will also air a retrospective special to honor the long-running drama series. This will be titled, Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy, and will air at 9/8c on CBS.

Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy will look back at the 293 episodes of the 14-season series and celebrate what became one of television’s most-watched weekly episodic television shows. Entertainment Tonight’s Nischelle Turner hosts the retrospective. It includes interviews with the stars and guest stars who share memories and behind-the-scenes stories.

It will also “look inside the famous family dinner scene, where viewers learn family dinner secrets straight from the Reagans’ table” (via Deadline).

The Blue Bloods Season 14 finale, ending the series for good, will air on Friday night, November 29, at 10/9c on CBS. There will also be a retrospective special airing before the finale at 9/8c, also on CBS.

  1. Better to finish well after a long, excellent run, than to just continue it like a soap opera with continuing cast changes, production changes, etc. that inevitably lead to a mediocre show that becomes a shell of what it was. Examples that come to mind: The Bourne franchise – #4 was OK despite a lead change but #5 was almost a parody of its better days; Indiana Jones #3 wasn’t as good and #4 was dreadful. Even Gunsmoke & NCIS as strong as they were gradually declined over time. Sequels and franchises have to be fresh and well written otherwise… Even the mighty Star Wars only had three good films (IV, V, VI). I, II, III are littered with miscast and weak actors and ho-hum plots. VII, VIII & IX were really hokey despite some old faces from the past. Things have lifecycles – including Blue Bloods.

  2. I will definitely miss Blue Bloods! 😢 I have been a faithful fan since its inception and will be lost! I mean, where will I get my Tom Selleck fix? From, A very sad viewer ☹️

    1. I have watched every episode since day one. the family meal reminded me of my family of 9 when we had Sunday family meals growing up. I’m sad to see Blue Bloods end. Friday TV won’t be the same. CBS SCREWED UP ROYALLY FOR CANCELING BLUE BLOODS. So many families enjoyed watching it every week. there are so many other shows that should be canceled. why would you cancel a very popular show? it makes no. sense

  3. No, I am not excited to see the series finale because it means the show is ending!! I guess I’m a little like Erin Reagan……I don’t quite understand it. It is STILL a very popular series, loved and watched by millions so WHY is it ending??? It’s not that the cast wants to call it quits! It sounds like they still want to deliver what their fans are still anxious to see! So, WHY???? The cast even took a 25% pay cut to keep the show going and while I hated that for them, I was grateful for the show to continue!

Now, it seems that nothing was able to save Blue Bloods. In my opinion, the blame lands squarely on CBS . Apparently, the fans, the faithful watchers of Blue Bloods, mean nothing to CBS. It’s not the first popular series that they’ve cancelled when it still had high ratings but this one, by far, hurts the worst!!

CBS, I wonder if you’ve ever thought about the people that watch Blue Bloods every Friday night; the cancer patient, the heart failure patient, the lonely young woman that has trouble adjusting after losing her Mom and has withdrawn from life – the people, millions of them, that feel like the Reagan family are “friends” and they look forward to visiting with them on Friday nights. This talented cast has brought their characters to life and they’ve become our friends, friends that we’re about to lose.

CBS, I’m sure you’re saving money but the blood of the entire Reagan Family is on your hands! Because on November 29th, you’ve effectively killed all of them! I wish Danny, Baez, Jamie & Janko could take turns sweating you in the Box before Erin Reagan prosecutes you for murder! Then I’d like to hear them all discuss it at the family dinner.

    1. I absolutely agree Kay! Why would you cancel a show at the top of ratings? With nothing planned in its place?
Whoever made this decision should be FIRED! 😠

  4. All good things must come to an end. It’s best for shows/series to go while it’s in a good ratings spot than watching it deteriorating to a shadow of it’s original self. As a former viewer, I ceased watching when they ended the role Danny’s wife the way they did. She deserved better. The characters in the family deserved better.
Regardless we will have the endless reruns like all successful shows/series.
