Live With Kelly And Mark hosts, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are great at staying on top of their work. However, in a recent episode, Kelly brings the Stump Mark segment to a screeching halt after Mark was already gaining his stride.

Kelly Ripa Makes Precise Plans

After years of professional experience, Live With Kelly And Mark tends to run seamlessly. Even with their big move, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos worked extra hard to plan and execute earlier recordings for the ease of viewing during the transition. While Kelly and Mark will be on the West Coast, they are taping from Palm Springs while they vacation there. During this shift, Kelly and Mark will pre-record episodes on Sunday and Monday but they will air in the usual timeslots. Then, in 2025, fans can expect the official move. Although they plan out every episode to the T, during a recent episode, things didn’t go as scheduled.

Kelly Ripa Abruptly Halts Stump Mark

During the November 4 episode of Live, they discussed the weekend marathon and several key points before Stump Mark. While things wrapped up, Kelly Ripa slid in the transition to the fan-favorite segment, Stump Mark. Mark Consuelos was in full swing ready to ask Julie, who was patiently waiting on the phone, her big questions. But Kelly panics briefly and interrupts suddenly saying, “Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute!” She continues, “I forgot to talk about the dumbest thing ever. I forgot to talk about the choice of three things you gave me this weekend.” Perhaps the marathon took more out of her than she thought. She says, “How did I get off track?” With her impulsive insistence, Kelly continues to list three choices Mark gave her.

  • She mentions the three options:
    • Would she rather jump out of an airplane tandem with an instructor?
    • Jump off a crazy high bridge with an instructor?
    • Or run the marathon?

Then, she discusses her choice. She said, “I would rather run the marathon because these are variables I can control.” Then, she notes what she thought about Mark’s choice, “And you said the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.” But Mark was quick to retort after Kelly pointed out the ridiculousness of his choice. He bluntly says, “I’d rather jump out of a plane.” Kelly remarks, “Lunacy!” Then, she looks to the runners in the audience to back her up, adding “Can I get an Amen?” After that, Kelly apologizes for the sudden interruption.

She Takes Her Running Seriously

Although Kelly Ripa was somewhat sorry for derailing the Stump Mark segment, she wanted Live With Kelly And Mark fans to know how seriously she takes her running. On Instagram, Kelly shared some of her workout routines that helped her complete the NYC Marathon on November 3.
