Jasmine Roth Shares Update On New Baby After Roadside Labor
HGTV star Jasmine Roth had a dramatic pregnancy when she went into labor and ended up stuck on the side of the road during a traffic jam. The good news is that emergency vehicles showed up and got her to the hospital, where she was able to deliver her baby. Now, Jasmine has an update on her new child.
Here is what Jasmine had to say about her new baby after his birth.
Jasmine Roth Offers Baby Update
Jasmine Roth was celebrating her anniversary with her husband Brett when she began to feel contractions. They had spent time outdoors and were at dinner when this started. They jumped into their car and headed to the hospital, where they got stuck in traffic.
Brett called the hospital, and they coached the two of them while they were pulled over on the side of the road. Jasmine said she was pacing and walking on the side of the road and believed she was going to end up delivering the baby right there.
However, as mentioned, she was lucky when the emergency vehicles showed up and rushed her to the hospital. Jasmine was able to have her baby at the hospital. While she was premature, the baby was born healthy, although she needed a 15-day hospital stay after the birth.
How Is Jasmine Roth’s Baby After Premature Birth?
Jasmine Roth posted a photo on Instagram of her with her older daughter, and they fed her new baby, Darla. She captioned the photo, “We brought Darla home from the hospital after 15 days. Yay! Hazel stayed with her grandmas and her Uncle and visited us daily, but it was still really hard to be away.”

Jasmine also admitted that they didn’t go “home,” but went instead to an Airbnb because their Utah home wasn’t finished yet. The baby was not due for another month, so the couple wasn’t prepared yet with the work they were doing on their house.
However, the mother-of-two said she has no complaints. “Home is where your people are,” Jasmine said before commenting that her other daughter Hazel is “the best big sis.”
According to Jasmine, Darla has a “feeding tube” attached. This is causing a different experience than the one she had when she had Hazel. “This was new territory since I’ve never had a preemie baby before. It’s basically a tube that goes all the way to her stomach through her nose,” she said.
Jasmine also included a photo of the tube that goes straight to her baby’s stomach. “Because Darla was born so small, it took her some time to get strong enough to eat a whole meal,” she explained. Jasmine also said the hospital staff trained them on how to care for Darla with her special conditions before coming home.
