Kamie Crawford Reveals Shocking New Career After ‘Catfish’ Exit
Kamie Crawford has a shocking new career amid announcing she has left Catfish. It was questioned if she had been fired or if she and co-host, Nev Schulman had been clashing. Now, it seems she was moving on to something new and quite different. Keep reading for more details.
Kamie Crawford Is Moving On From Catfish
After six years on the popular MTV reality series, Kamie Crawford announced she was leaving Catfish. She had been chosen to work alongside Nev Schulman after Max Joseph shared he was exiting. This was a huge heartbreak for diehard followers who loved the show as they felt Max and Nev were a dynamic duo. Soon, new co-hosts joined Nev to see who would be the perfect fit. Ultimately, Kamie landed the gig as she vibed well with him. Not only was she compassionate but she could get down and dirty. The two worked extremely well together and fans were shocked that anyone was able to replace Max.
Kamie ended up hosting other shows so co-hosts came in to help in her absence. Then, in the summer of 2024, Nev was in a horrid bike accident. Many rushed to his comment section to send condolences and check in on him. It was noticed that Kamie did not say anything which shocked followers as they appeared very close. When Kamie announced she was leaving the show, viewers wondered if they had a falling out. She said she had new opportunities and was excited about what was ahead. Now, one of them has been revealed.

According to OK! Magazine, Kamie Crawford’s next move is all about true crime. This is not that far of a stretch from her time on Catfish as that was all about digging deep and uncovering the truth. So, she can likely draw from that experience. Yet, what will she be doing in that genre?
“I am putting my producer hat on. I’m ready to be behind the scenes and behind the camera. I’m a huge true crime girl. I think it’s the Scorpio in me. I think that’s next. I’m excited about a show I’ve created that lives on its own without me.”
So, it appears Kamie is excited to be behind the scenes as opposed to having a constant presence in front of the camera.
Learning To Say No
“The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that the right opportunity will find you — don’t be too thirsty for opportunities that don’t align with you. It’s okay to pass on things. I grew up in an early hosting space where there were so few opportunities that it felt like if something came your way, you better latch onto it.”
