Jason Kelce Smashes Phone After Fan Disses Travis
In a recent video uploaded to social media, Jason Kelce showed people don’t want to insult his brother when he’s around. In the video, Jason appeared to break a phone after someone asked an insulting question about his younger brother. Many online commenters have also since debated the incident on social media.
Things Went South After A Fist Bump
The altercation took place before Saturday’s Penn State-Ohio State game. Jason was there as part of ESPN’s College Gameday.
As seen in the video, Jason was seen with a bunch of his fans prior to the game. The person filming the video appeared cordial enough, asking the former pro to fist bump him.
However, not everyone was as friendly. The video picked up someone asking “Hey Kelce, how does it feel knowing your brother is a f** dating Taylor Swift?”
Jason could then be seen stopping, turning around, and walking to someone wearing a Penn State hoodie. He could then be seen taking a cell phone and smashing it. He then picks it up and walks away.
As noted by Penn Live, commenters online had mixed feelings about the video. Some thought Jason was in the right, coming to his brother’s defense. Others felt he should have ignored the issue and walked away. Some people have also brought up the concern that the person whose phone was broken might not have been the one to say the slur.
Some Fans Sided With Jason Kelce, Others Worry What Will Happen Next
On X, a user identfied as Colin Dunlap uploaded the video. The post was captioned, “I love this. Jason Kelce just took a stand for normal men against the ‘idiots who have become way too comfortable saying ridiculous shit to people who can actually kick their ass’ crowd. Good for him.”
Some commenters sided with Jason. As one wrote, “There gotta be new laws established that let people hold idiots like this accountable. Like people can just blatantly harass and shove a phone in anyones face and call them nasty s*** for absolutely no reason and then if they can’t beat the f*** up they’re not in the wrong?”

Others were less sympathetic. As another wrote, “Destroying people’s property is not a win. He should have handled this better like an adult. He should have walked away and igorned it. No matter how obnoxious this kid was touching his personal property is a no go.”
Some commenters also appeared to be worried on Jason’s behalf. As one commenter mused, “That dude will sue and get a few hundred thousands off this.”
