‘On Patrol: Live’ Confirms New Episodes Through Fall 2025?
Has it been confirmed that On Patrol: Live will be around through Fall 2025? There were some questions if it was ending at the beginning of 2025. Yet, it was revealed that the network renews the show on a season-by-season basis. Therefore, fans would have to wait for the current season to come to a close to learn the fate. Now, a major development has revealed how long OPL will be sticking around. Keep reading for more details.
On Patrol: Live Confirms New Episodes Through Fall 2025?
It was speculated that On Patrol: Live was done after this year. In all fairness, as much as viewers loved it, there had been many comparisons to the OG series, Live PD. Fans felt LPD was much more exciting whereas OPL had lost some of its luster:
- Is it me or does OPL seem way more tame than Live PD? I have been getting really bored with OPL.
- Live PD was better 💯
-
It’s not just you. The new format sucks.
- I agree with you. I am also getting bored with it. It seems like they drag out the mundane stuff.
Still, there are enough beloved departments and officers to keep viewers engaged and coming back every Friday and Saturday.
Hazen and Chief Bradley Taylor are always in demand and when they take a break, the questions flood in, asking when they will be back. There was also Corporal Carli Drayton who was on maternity leave but viewers were eager for her to step back into the studio. So, the fan interaction, on social media alone, is enough to keep OPL going for a long time. However, as aforementioned, it was alleged the show may end at the beginning of 2025.
This is because renewals happen each season not in bulk. Now, based on one department, it looks like On Patrol: Live will be around until Fall 2025. A Reddit thread posted this happy news along with the news release from ABC:
- It looks like Toledo will be a part of the show for at least another year, expiring 9/15/25.
That being said, fans can expect at least another 11 months of the hit series.
Another Good Season
Now that Toledo has confirmed they will be back and through 2025, there is more news via ABC:
“According to documents dated Oct. 22 and Oct. 23, the city of Toledo and Half Moon Pictures, LLC (the producer of On Patrol: Live) extended their contract through Sept. 15, 2025.The documents state that upon the current term’s expiration, the agreement will automatically renew for successive one-year periods for up to five periods.”
Up to five years means On Patrol: Live could still have several years of life left in it. Or, they were securing Toledo which was a very smart move. After seeing this, what did viewers have to say?
- I like Toledo. Good for them
- Let’s go!!! Give us more Heather Smith!
- Toledo has really developed as something of a star attraction for the show.
- Excellent! There’s always stuff going down in Toledo.
- WOOHOO!!! 🥳 Hopefully we get Lindsey Erhart and Brooke Janowiecki back in a car together soon! Can’t wait for Brooke to get back!
This is a great move for On Patrol: Live and it is a thrill for fans. More so, it proves the show is not going anywhere fast which is another bonus.
