Property Brothers’ Make Big Return To TV With New HGTV Series
Drew and Jonathan Scott, better known as the “Property Brothers,” are making their return to television with a brand new HGTV series. In various ways, their news series will show the brothers returning to their roots. The brothers have also discussed what it was like working on the new series.
Jonathan & Drew Scott Will Help Families Love Their Homes
The new series, Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers, will focus on the brothers transforming living spaces for families. The series will take a focus on everyday families. This contrasts their more recent series, Celebrity IOU, which focused on them helping celebrities with renovations.
Drew and Jonathan will both star on the show and serve as executive producers. The first season will be made up of six episodes. Airing at 9 p.m. ET, the series will premiere on November 13.
To promote the new show, the brothers appeared in a video on Instagram. The brothers held up and pointed at a sign reading, “Don’t Hate Your House premieres Nov. 13th!”
In the video’s caption, the brothers poked fun at the Ghostbusters‘ famous catchphrase. As it read, “You have a house that you hate and it stresses you out… Who You Gonna Call?! Property Brothers! Don’t miss the series premiere of “Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers” November 13! Link in bio for all the details.”
As noted by TV Insider, the series premise was shared in a press release: “The series will showcase the Brothers as they tackle seemingly insurmountable renovation challenges to transform dysfunctional houses into harmonious places that families will love. Homeowners will rely on the Brothers’ vision and expertise to enhance the function, floorplan and amenities of their existing property—in hopes the updates also relieve the stress, anxiety and chaos caused by bad design.”
Information Has Already Been Shared About The First Episode
As the press release continued, while taking down walls and looking for hidden damages, the brothers will be there to reassure families throughout. All the while, they’ll also make sure to keep things on budget.
The press release also gave some information on what the first episode will be like. Jonathan will meet with a couple, Johnny and Jackie. The two, who share a son and five rescue dogs, say they fell cramped within their beloved Los Angeles home. As it was noted, Jonathan and Drew will help “to reimagine the home with an open concept, a large sliding door to add lots of natural light and greater access to the yard, as well as a redesigned kitchen and laundry room to better accommodate people and pets alike.”

The brothers also shared some information about what their new show will be like. As Drew shared, “Transforming a home to truly suit a family’s needs will create a better environment and happier home life for everyone.” Understanding the “frustration” that comes when homes don’t make use of space, Jonathan also assured, “Drew and I know we can make these homes so much better.”
