‘Jersey Shore’ Angelina Pivarnick Pleads Guilty After DV Incident
Jersey Shore star Angelina Pivarnick just had a court date concerning an incident with her fiancé. In the hearing on Tuesday, Angelina chose to plead guilty to end the case and accept the punishment the judge handed down to her.
Here is what happened and what the Jersey Shore star pleaded guilty to.
Angelina Pivarnick Pleads Guilty After Domestic Violence Incident
Angelina Pivarnick, 38, went to court on Tuesday and faced charges against her for disorderly conduct related to a domestic violence incident in June. The incident occurred at the New Jersey home she shares with fiancé Vinny Tortorella.
In the hearing, Angelina pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. The judge ruled for a conditional dismissal. This means that the guilty plea will be erased from her record as long as she does what she is supposed to over the next year. The prosecutor also agreed to drop the other charges against her thanks to the guilty plea.
These included obstruction of the administration of law, resisting arrest, simple assault, and criminal mischief. The guilty plea was for a “non-criminal offense,” which gets her out of the worst trouble. Her attorney said they were very happy with the outcome” (via Page Six).
What Happened To Cause The Angelina Pivarnick Arrest?
It is unclear exactly what happened leading to the police showing up at Angelina Pivarnick’s home. They were called there on June 2 for a domestic dispute claim. Tortorella was there when the police arrived. It is unclear if he was the victim.
However, it was Angelina Pivarnick who was the aggressor, and the police said that the victim (whose name was redacted on the report) suffered “bodily injury” due to Pivarnick “striking him with her hands/fists causing scratches, redness and complaint of pain to the victim’s hands.”
Angelina also attacked a vehicle with bare-hand strikes, causing $500 in damage.
When the police showed up, she resisted arrest and refused to comply with the officer’s instructions as they took her into custody. This is what caused the resisting arrest charges. Her attorney said at the time it was a “minor incident” and was caused by “an adverse reaction to prescribed over-the-counter medication.”
Angelina also said she refuses to watch the new Jersey Shore episodes because she doesn’t want to see if the show airs her legal troubles. That has not happened this season as of yet.
This also isn’t the first time that Angelina and Vinny have had the police called. In August 2023, she called the police after an alleged altercation with him. However, she chose not to press charges. They have been engaged since April 2023, after she divorced Chris Larangeira.
