One of the most interesting connections to happen in Love is Blind Season 7 was the one between Leo and Brittany. Unfortunately, Netflix producers decided to cut them from the show, even though they got engaged in the pods. Everything about Brittany and Leo was interesting from start to finish. As a reminder, they were even caught up in a messy love triangle. Leo couldn’t decide between Brittany and another girl named Hannah. Here’s why the producers cut them from the show early.

An Explanation For Brittany And Leo‘s Premature Love Is Blind Exit

If you were hoping to see what would come next for Brittany and Leo, you’re out of luck as a Love is Blind viewer. The Netflix producers cut them from the show based on budgeting issues. The producers planned for five couples to move on to the next stage of the experiment after they got engaged. Since six couples got engaged, the producers had to decide which couple would be eliminated.

Love is Blind’s creator, Chris Coelen, said they considered the low probability of Brittany and Leo actually making it to the altar. According to Variety, Chris and the rest of the crew didn’t think Leo and Brittany would last for the long haul. Because of that, they cut the couple after their engagement scene. Many Love is Blind fans are a bit annoyed that the producers didn’t extend their budget. Producers surely could have figured out a way to keep the couple on the show. One passionate viewer took to Reddit to air their grievances:

“I’m so shook about Leo and Brittany. I mean, I feel like they would have been super interesting to watch more of. I can’t believe Netflix didn’t pick them to go to Mexico. I’m sure they probably saw they weren’t going to work out. But with them being pretty much the only ‘pod drama,’ I can’t believe they just didn’t choose to bring them. Especially with Hannah and Nick being chosen. Just isn’t adding up. The drama from last season is what went viral.”

This particular viewer has valid complaints. In previous seasons of Love is Blind, the craziest scenes that went viral on social media revolved around cast members who brought high-levels of drama. It’s safe to assume that Leo and Brittany would have been the main couple to create loads of viral moments if they stayed on the show longer. Since Netflix producers cut them early, there’s no telling what could have been.

Season 7 would’ve arguably been more exciting to watch after Leo got a chance to meet Hannah face-to-face. Interestingly enough, Leo and Brittany broke up off camera anyway. What are your thoughts on all this? Let us know in the comment section below.
