Josh Martinez Labeled ‘Easily Manipulated’ On ‘The Challenge’
Competing on The Challenge hasn’t been a walk in the park for Josh Martinez. More specifically, The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, has pushed him to his limits. Fans have loads of criticisms to unleash on Josh, especially regarding his actions in Episode 5. Some might argue that Josh would’ve undoubtedly faced elimination had he not won the Daily Challenge earlier in the episode with his teammate, Jenny West. Here’s why fans have such a problem with him at the moment.
Is Josh Martinez Easy To Manipulate On The Challenge?
Josh Martinez took to Twitter/X to talk about the show on September 25, 2024. He referenced his connection with fellow contestant Rachel Robinson, saying, “While this whole edit revolves around mine and Banana’s friendship, Rachel was also down in the sand and I wanted to give her the best shot to stay.” However, his tweet hasn’t been well-received by viewers:
- “Even Laurel knew the correct decision was to send her and Bananas down. My word. Or you’re just easily manipulated.”
- “Johnny Bananas served the master class and manipulation. But whatever you say.”
- “Josh, come on now, you’re so easily manipulated by Bananas, even he knows it.”
If Josh can overcome these manipulation claims from fans, what will he win at the end of the show? Challenge 40 Champions get to take home their share of a $1 million cash price. Whenever big money is on the line, it often encourages game show contestants to do whatever it takes to come out on top. Since fans of the show have labeled Josh as someone who’s easily manipulated, the length of time he’ll survive on the show is more of a mystery than anything else.
