The Masked Singer is coming back, but there might be something missing. From all reports, it sounds like the Wild Cards will not return for Season 12. These are the special surprise contestants that join the show in addition to the main masked singers.
Here is what we know about the possible changes to the new season.
Is The Wild Card Going Away On The Masked Singer?
From the sound of it, The Masked Singer Season 12 might not have Wild Cards. These were the new masked performers that the show would bring in partway through the season. They were used as surprise entries and often shook things up in big, surprising moments. However, the show is recorded ahead of time, and a Reddit leak indicates there weren’t any this season (via Meaww).
When someone asked about it, they got two definitive responses:
- “No wildcards this season”
- “According to the leaks…. no I don’t think zo”
The Wild Card contestants joined The Masked Singer in the fifth season and have been part of the show ever since. it sounds like the 12th season will see the end of these surprising fan-favorite competitors.
There were three Wild Card competitors last season. They were Seal (Corey Feldman), Koala (DeMarcus Ware), and Sir Lion (Billy Bush). Corey Feldman made it to Week 9, and no one else got that close. Vanessa Hudgens won last season as Goldfish.
