“She said, ‘Just go out there and have fun and be yourself,'” Seacrest said (via PEOPLE). He continued saying, “The good thing about this game show is that you get to be yourself. It has a little looseness to it. It doesn’t have to be so strict and so formatted. It has those moments of real life and humanity.”
There were questions about how the chemistry between him and Vanna White would play out. However, Seacrest said that was never a problem. He admits that he and Vanna have known each other for two decades. “We’re friends, which has made it really, really nice and comfortable,” Ryan said.
He also said getting rolling on the show was easy because he was such a big fan. However, it still surprised him a lot. “You think that you know how it’s going to go, but I never realized the excitement with those contestants when they win that money,” he said.
Ryan said the prize, whether it is $42,000 or $114,000, is life-changing money for some contestants. “It’s so incredible to see their reaction to that,” Ryan said. “And they get to do it again every night.”
