‘Yellowstone’ Cole Hauser Says Final Season Dramatic & ‘Different’
Yellowstone is about to start the final part of its final season. Regarding the last episodes, star Cole Hauser said that the final episodes are like nothing the fans have seen on the show in the last few seasons. He hopes fans will like it because he said it delivers everyone a fitting ending.
Here is what Cole said about the final episodes of the hit Western series.
Cole Hauser Talks Final Yellowstone Episodes
Cole Hauser is excited about the final episodes of Yellowstone before the drop on Paramount+. The season has dealt with turmoil, as the final episodes were delayed for several reasons, including the WGA and SAG strikes. Kevin Costner then left the series, and it had to find a way to eliminate his character.
With Costner there as John Dutton, it is clear the final episodes will look very different from the rest of the series up to this time. Star Cole Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler, the bruiser for the Dutton family and Beth Dutton’s (Kelly Reilly) love interest, says that is true.
“Taylor [Sheridan] is just such an amazing writer, and he’s just done a great job again of trying to wrap this thing up,” Cole said (via Fox News). “Not into a perfect bow, it never really is with ‘Yellowstone,’ but it’s some really dramatic stuff and it’s heartfelt. It’s different than past seasons, certainly, but in a good way.”
Cole is excited to see how fans react to the final episodes and hopes they will love what they did. He also had nothing but good things to say about Kevin Costner. While Costner said that the cast has mostly ignored him since he left, Hauser only complimented the veteran actor.
He’s somebody that everybody looks up to or has looked up to,” Hauser said. “I’ve enjoyed every bit of working with him.”
Luke Grimes Calls Final Episodes ‘Profound’
Cole Hauser isn’t the only Yellowstone cast member to show excitement about the rest of the show. Luke Grimes, 40, plays Kayce Dutton, John’s son on the show. While his TV dad won’t be back, Grimes said that the ending of Yellowstone is “perfect” and “profound.”
“I couldn’t be happier. I think it’s a perfect ending for the show for every character,” Luke said. “It’s a very, very profound, beautiful ending. I can’t wait to sit down and watch it one day.”
