Where’s Lori? Loughlin Missing From ‘WCTH’ Related GAF Productions
Just a year after WCTH co-creator Brian Bird would not stop talking about the possible return of Lori Loughlin’s character Abigail Stanton to the series, Great American Family has announced two projects adjacent to When Calls The Heart. However, Lori Loughlin’s name is not attached to either project.
Where’s Lori?
Lori Loughlin’s Name Is Missing From Two WCTH Related Great American Family Productions
This week, Great American Family surprised WCTH fans by announcing that they were filming When Hope Calls Season 2B. The Futon Critic reported that the network was making eight additional episodes. This is the long-promised continuation from three years ago when the network released the first two episodes of Season 2, When Hope Calls Christmas Parts 1 and 2. In both of these movies, Lori Loughlin returned as Abigail Stanton, her When Calls The Heart role.
However, Lori’s name is not mentioned anywhere in regards to this production. Instead, GAF has chosen to bring in many new cast members including Cindy Busby, Christopher Russell, and Nick Bateman. Yet, it seems odd that Lori is not attached to this project. Since the College Admissions Scandal, she was fired from Hallmark. That included the network having the WCTH production company go back and remove her from Season 6. The few aired episodes were the last she was seen on the series that also stars Erin Krakow.
However, when GAF announced When Hope Calls Season 2 in 2021, Lori was the lead name attached to this role. In addition, Daniel Lissing made a cameo as his character Jack Thornton, in a very Field Of Dreams sort of scene. After that, the Full House alum starred in several Great American Family movies. That is why it is so shocking that Lori Loughlin’s name is not attached to a project that she is so connected to.
Why isn’t Lori Loughlin part of When Hope Calls Season 2?
Lori Loughlin Is Not Starring In When Calls The Heart Creator’s GAF Christmas Movie
Last week, Great American Family announced their Great American Christmas lineup. One of the movies included is A Little Women Christmas which is executive produced by Brian Bird, the WCTH co-creator. This is a modern retelling of the classic Louisa May Alcott book.
What is surprising is that Lori Loughlin is not part of this cast. Just a year ago, Brian Bird told Hearties that they were having “good conversations” about bringing her back to the Hallmark series. He could not stop gushing about her. Perhaps he used it as a distraction from the many Team Lucas fans who were furious that Lucas Bouchard and Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) did not get married but instead broke up. Nonetheless, he could not stop gushing about her. In return, Hallmark had clarified to People that they were “not in talks” with Loughlin.
Therefore, why wasn’t Lori part of this Little Women Christmas production? If she is still attached to GAF, it seems like a no-brainer. Currently, she has no movies announced. Could something be brewing that has not been announced?
