Hoda Kotb Says Everyone On ‘Today’ Is Mad At Her, Why?
Hoda Kotb is one of the most beloved hosts on Today. It is hard not to love watching her every morning, but it seems like she just did something that made the people working with her angry. According to Kotb, she made a mistake, and now “everyone’s mad at me.”

Hoda Kotb Says ‘Everyone’s Mad At Me’
In a Today segment, Hoda Kotb said that she and Jenna Hush Hager were coming out with their second Christmas song for the show. This happened on the Tuesday episode on September 17. “We actually are at work on our second Christmas song … We’re going to drop our second single,” Hoda said.
This was big news. Hoda also said Meghan Trainor wrote their new Christmas song. There is one big problem with this Today segment. Hoda wasn’t supposed to say anything yet. This was still supposed to be kept under wraps, and she wasn’t supposed to mention it until Jenna was there with her to make the announcement.
It wasn’t until later in the episode that Hoda Kotb realized what happened. Apparently, people spoke to her during the episode and let her know that she wasn’t supposed to say anything yet.
Jenna Bush Hager said, “You dropped a secret of ours, in the earlier hours, and I feel deceived.” Hoda said she let it slip after heating. Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon were recording their own Christmas song. “I did not like to hear about other people having a Christmas song, and I wanted them to know that we too were working on one,” Hoda said.
What Was Hoda Kotb’s First Christmas Song?
On Wednesday, the Today hosts talked about Jennifer Hudson releasing a new holiday album. This is when Hoda came out and said, “I got into trouble yesterday because apparently it was a secret. Now everyone’s mad at me, please don’t make me repeat it.”
Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager recorded a Christmas song last year. They worked with vocal coach Cheryl Porter and recorded the song “A Carefree Christmas.” They even shot a music video with a lot of Christmas spirit playing throughout them singing the song.
“Cheryl is a person who can teach anybody to sing. She has her own technique,” Hoda said. “She is like joy personified and she ran us through the paces – had us try to learn.”
