‘Love After Lockup’ Michael Simmons Arrested Again In Miami
Love After Lockup OG Michael Simmons was in custody again recently following an incident in Miami. So, what happened this time around to put him back in trouble with the law?
Love After Lockup: Michael Simmons Was A Shady Character From Day One
Veteran Love After Lockup viewers remember that Michael Simmons was a slippery individual from day one. When WEtv first introduced the felon, he was juggling two women. He was the originator of the Love After Lockup love triangle between himself, Sarah Simmons, and Megan Nash.
Since that time, Michael Simmons appeared in more Love After Lockup content for WEtv. Like so many felons on the show who find themselves on the outside after being behind bars for so many years, it’s difficult for cast members like Michael to stay out of trouble with the law.
Police Arrest Michael In Miami, What Happened?
Based on the latest tea making the rounds about the Love After Lockup celeb, police arrested Michael Simmons in Miami on July 5, and he is facing multiple felonies. According to Starcasm, it all started as a dispute between Michael and his neighbor after he set off fireworks in the neighborhood on July 4.
According to the report, after the victim told Michael Simmons to stop using the fireworks, Michael allegedly set them off in even closer proximity, leading to one of the projectiles hitting the neighbor “in the left arm.”
Allegedly, Michael told the neighbor that he would “kill him and go back to jail for it.” The victim did not press the matter more, as neighbors allegedly warned that Michael had firearms. So, the victim decided to call police instead.
Love After Lockup: What Is Michael Simmons Facing?
When police got to the scene, they had reasonable suspicion of there being a firearm. When they went to pat Michael Simmons down, he allegedly “charged and pushed” one of the officers with both hands.
Some of Michael’s charges from this incident include:
- Felony aggravated battery.
- Felony aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.
- Misdemeanor resisting an officer without violence.
Prosecutors decided not to take action against the WEtv celeb on the felony charges. However, the misdemeanor count is still open, and there will be a hearing for it on October 28.
Michael Simmons has had several arrests since he first filmed Love After Lockup years ago. In many ways, this seems to be another day at the office for Michael Simmons. Either way, it will be interesting to see what the final resolution is from this situation once the October hearing comes.
