Will Netflix’s Emily In Paris get a Season 5? The season four finale left things on a cliffhanger, as usual, so can fans expect something more?

Emily In Paris Is Stamping Her Passport

Emily In Paris is a romance/drama series on Netflix. The series stars Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins) as totally happy, working at her marketing company, The Gilbert Group in Chicago. However, when her boss gets the opportunity to go to the office in France but gets pregnant, Emily gets the position.

Now in Paris, she has changed her Instagram to: “@EmilyInParis.” Emily faces challenges like a long-distance relationship and work drama. However, Emily brings her American and young woman perspective to the French marketing company Savoir.

Though her boss, Sylvie, does not originally like Emily when she opens up her own company, Agence Grateau, she eventually brings Emily and their whole team with her. Emily also lives with her best friend, whom she met when she arrived in Paris, aspiring singer Mindy.

With the conclusion of Season 4, so many things are up in the air as the series does what it does best: leave everyone on a cliffhanger. The question remains on whether fans will get a resolution to the cliffhangers with Season 5.

Amour In Paris

Paris is certainly the city of love, especially for Emily Cooper. The Season 4 Part 1 ending seemed to leave things in a positive direction. However, the Part 2 finale leaves the characters in very different places. (Spoilers Ahead)

After finally getting together, Emily and Gabriel are broken up over a non-existent baby. Furthermore, Emily has stayed away from Gabriel after Sylvie’s stepdaughter lied and told Emily that Gabriel said he never wanted to see her again.

Moreover, Emily was chosen to run the Rome office of Agence Grateau by Sylvie. Additionally, they only have the new office to convince Emily’s new boyfriend, Marcello, and his family to sign with their company. Despite keeping their distance, the series ends with Gabriel trying to go to Rome to win Emily back.

The final moments show Emily about to change her name to “@EmilyInRome,” but is cut off by a knock on the door. Now, fans are wondering if Emily in Paris will now be Emily In Rome.

Will Season 5 Answer These Questions?

As of Monday, September 16th, Emily In Paris has been renewed for Season 5. Unfortunately, the seasons take a long time to come out, so it might be a while before most of the questions are answered.

Fans have taken to the Emily In Paris Instagram along with Lily Collins’s personal Instagram to state their opinion on who they want Emily to be with. Some fans want Gabriel to bring her back to Paris and for them to be together. Others want her to stay in Rome with Marcello.

The series creator, Darren Star, has given some fans some information about the Paris or Rome debate. When interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter, Star was asked about a possible rebranding for Rome.

Star responded by saying, “We’ll spend some time in Rome. But she did not change her Instagram handle to @EmilyInRome.” The interviewer countered that she almost did. Therefore, Star gave some clarity.

Star responded, “She didn’t. I mean, Agence Grateau opened an office in Rome. They can be in more than one city, and Emily can spend time in Rome. She can spend time in Paris, too. She’s not leaving Paris.”

Though Season 4 felt like it could be an ending with a new beginning, this is not the end of Emily Cooper’s story. Season 5 will most likely showcase Emily working in the Rome office. However, it seems like it won’t be too long until Gabriel comes to rock the boat.

Since Gabriel and Emily keep somehow making their way back to each other and others say they’re supposed to be together, the creators could be keeping them apart to keep the story going.
