Is Emily In Paris Renewed For Season 4?
Netflix dropped Emily In Paris Season 3 on Wednesday to fanfare. The ten episodes were binged and thanks to a stunning cliffhanger, viewers want to know if there will be a Season 4.
Back in January, Deadline reported that Netflix renewed the Darren Star-created series for both Season 3, and Season 4. This was just a month after Season 2 premiered to over 100 million hours of streaming in its first week. Only The Witcher did better that week.
However, it is very unusual for the streamer to renew an original series for two seasons. This shows just how committed the streamer is to this comedy.
When Could Netflix Drop Season 4 Of Lily Collins’ Series?
Since Netflix has already given Emily In Paris the green light for Season 4, they can proceed full steam ahead. However, according to People, who recently interviewed the creator and cast, Darren Star is not sure what will happen in Season 4.
Yet, based on the last two years, it is likely that Netflix will want the series to premiere before Christmas 2023. Therefore, Star better get working on that script.
Emily In Paris Season 4 Will Resolve Cliffhangers
One certain thing, Emily In Paris Season 4 will resolve some of the cliffhangers at the end of Season 3. However, Darren Star intended to surprise viewers. He did so by working backward. “It was something that I was always thinking about from the beginning of this season.”
So we worked backwards a little bit. I [was] sort of withholding that information from the audience until the very end. I think you go back and you kind of make sense of a lot of what happened before.
Lily Collins was especially relieved that there will be a Season 4. “Thank God there is a season 4 Because going into this finale thinking that we get to finish those cliffhangers would be a gift. And if we didn’t get that, I think we all would’ve had panic attacks.”
Will Emily In Paris End With Season 4?
Will Season 4 be the final season of the hit Netflix comedy? Not if Darren Star has any say in the matter. The 61-year-old creator of SATC would like this series to continue for years to come. Moreover, he has a lot more stories to tell.
I mean, I hope so. If they want us back, we’re coming back I hope we get to keep doing it because we’re having a great time doing it and I feel like there’s more story to tell.
