‘Big Brother’ Fans Be Prepared For Major Schedule Change
Big Brother fans need to be prepared for another major scheduling shakeup this week. Viewers have been thrown off guard by several schedule changes throughout Season 26, with some people begging for a consistent timeslot. However, CBS is changing when the reality show airs again on Sunday and Wednesday this week. Here’s everything you need to know.
Sunday & Wednesday’s Episodes Will Air Later
Season 26 of Big Brother just entered the jury phase and last week’s evictee, Quinn Martin, is the first jury member. There are only eight players left in the game. They are Angela Murray, Chelsie Baham, Kim Apaka, Cam Sullivan-Brown, Makensy Manbeck, Leah Peters, T’kor Clottey, and Rubina Bernabe.
Throughout Season 26, multiple episodes of Big Brother have been delayed due to sports events. CBS also added an extra Tuesday episode one week. Fans have been irritated with the constant changes, but there is a new schedule again for this week.
On Sunday, September 15, Big Brother will air at 9:30 p.m. EST and 9 p.m. PDT. The East Coast air time is half an hour later than usual. NFL season has started up again and a football game will push the new episode back. The game is slated to end at 7:30 p.m. with 60 Minutes airing directly after. Then Elsbeth will come on at 8:30, followed by Big Brother.
As you know, if the football game goes into overtime, all of the shows will be pushed back. This means that BB could air even later on Sunday. If you are using DVR to watch Sunday’s episode, you may want to consider extending your recording so you don’t miss anything.
Wednesday’s episode will also air at a different time this week. On September 18, the new episode of Big Brother will air at 10 p.m. EST. This is two hours after the normal air time. It will follow the two-hour premiere of Survivor 47.
Big Brother Will Resume Regular Schedule On Thursday
That said, the Thursday, September 19 episode will air at the normal 8 p.m. EST time slot. Hopefully, Julie Chen Moonves will be well enough to return.
Last week, Julie missed the first live eviction on the reality show in 26 seasons. She shared on Instagram that she contracted a mild case of COVID-19 and was still testing positive on Thursday, making her unable to attend the live taping.
Jerry O’Connell sat in for Julie Chen Moonves on Thursday and saw Quinn Martin evicted in a vote of 4 to 2.
Fans should be aware of more potential schedule changes leading up to the Big Brother season finale on October 13. The network will have to work around the NFL schedule and other show premieres.
You can stream previous episodes of Big Brother on Paramount Plus, where you can also watch the Live Feeds for the show.
