‘Jeopardy!’ Ken Jennings Fighting To Keep Job As Host
Ken Jennings took over as the Jeopardy! host shortly after Alex Trebek’s death. While he initially co-hosted the show with Mayim Bialik, the popular game show chose to stick with him as the full-time host and let Mayim go. However, there are rumors that Jeopardy! producers might want to move on.
With that said, Ken Jennings isn’t going down without a fight.
Pop Culture Jeopardy! Has A New Host
There is a new Jeopardy! spinoff coming to Prime Video. The show is called Pop Culture Jeopardy! and the show named its host at the end of July. That host is Saturday Night Live star Colin Jost. While Jennings has promoted the show, saying it will be as hard as the original, there are now rumors his job is in danger.
A source says that producers will watch Colin Jost’s performance as the Pop Culture Jeopardy! host. If they see him doing a good enough job, he might be offered the chance to take over Jennings’s role on the main show.
Some fans think a change is coming because of mistakes made on the show. However, Ken cannot take the blame for many of these mistakes. The shows are filmed in advance, and the production team then edits the footage for the shows that people actually watch.
If Ken Jennings makes “mistakes” in the shows, it is the production team’s fault for not fixing them before the show hits TV. However, there could be cases where a mistake by Ken gives someone a win or loss they didn’t deserve. Even so, there are still people backstage who can reverse these calls.
The source said Sony Pictures TV would only replace Ken if the ratings tanked. They are still high.
Ken Jennings Not Giving Up Jeopardy! Job Without A Fight
With all that in mind, a source has said that Ken Jennings knows all the rumors and innuendoes behind the scenes. However, the source said that Ken has no intention of losing his job and will go down swinging if it comes to that (via Closer Weekly).

“He’s desperate to make it work and has no intention of leaving of his own accord,” the source said. “Ken’s well aware of the noise and tittle-tattle, and privately, he would acknowledge these are tough times.”
Some of the complaints about Ken concern what some call favoritism. In other cases, he seems overly critical of certain players. However, for now, it seems no change is coming for the Jeopardy! host.

Ken Jennings does a great job! Never miss it but might stop watching if you change hosts.
agree!
Keep Ken Jennings!!!!! He does great job.
Lose him! He stinks as a host. He is very condescending. I liked Mayim!
I will stop watching if he is replaced.
Ken is doing a great job. He doesn’t need to look down to see if the answer is correct. He knows the majority of them.. Of all the “substitutes” in the past he far exceeds them all.
Love Ken! I was happy he became the permanent host. Lets keep it that way
Ken Jennings is absolutely the best thing about Jeopardy! I’ve watched the show for almost 40 years because I’m a huge fan, but I will dump it if they replace Ken. He is perfect as host.
Love Ken on show. Keeps it professional while fun. Never miss a show!
He is annoying and smug and unsteady as a host. He has had enough time to be past a learning curve. I rarely watch anymore and, when I do, I often just turn it off in irritation. So-called “fans” bullied Mayim off and it’s sad to see the same ones bully the producers to keep Jennings.
I like Ken Jennings as the host.
No matter who hosts there will always be criticism from someone.
Ken is doing a great job. I would hate to see him go.
No interest in changing hosts. Would probably no longer watch if there is a change. I don’t think anyone could do a better job than Ken Jennings. He’s earned the position as host.
Ken Jennings is the perfect host for Jeopardy. He knows the game as a contestant and now as the host. If indeed he has made an occasional mistake it just shows he’s human. As a long term Jeopardy fan who loved Alex I believe you’ve made the best choice by keeping Ken as the full time host!
I love watching ken Jennings ob Jeopardy he’s perfect.
I agree with previous comments that Ken is perfect for the job. I especially appreciate his sharp wit and sense of humor. Don’t mess with a good thing!
He is a good host! Funny, witty and we all know – SO SMART! Keep him!
Ken Jennings is a great host! I have been watching Jeopardy for 40 years. Loved Alex Trebek and Ken is the next best thing!
agree! he’s a natural for this job and always a gentleman!
I absolutely agree Ken Jennings is a great host!! No one is perfect. Don’t change hosts leave a good host there!!
I like Ken Jennings as host. No need to look for a replacement. Please don’t mess up a good thing!
Allene I think Ken is very personable and knowledgeable. I have seen no indication of favoritism or unfairness on his part. I miss Alex but Ken has been a wonderful replacement. I can’t imagine anyone who would be better suited to the position. I would be sad and angry if he were replaced. I have not seen mistakes and I am faithful watcher.
I think Ken Jennings does a great job. He is a natural and a great choice after Alex Trebeck.
absolutely best host I wouldn’t watch the episodes miyam hosted to smug and has a know it all condescending attitude drop Ken you’ll lose a lot of viewers myself among them
Ken is the only one who has the smarts, wit and yes, charm to replace Alex! Because he won the title of Greatest Of All Time, he plainly has the intellectual credibility that the ever awkward MB could never approach. I like Jost but he is a comedian not a trivia maven.
Look at the support Ken gets. He has literally saved Jeopardy when no one else could possibly fill Alex’s shoes. Ken deserves the total support of the producers as well as SONY and Jeopardy fans everywhere!!
No Ken. No watch anymore.
