‘Survivor 47’ Offers First Look For New Season, Cast
With just a month to wait before Survivor 47 premieres on CBS, the network released a first-look teaser. The network really wants to get people excited for the new cast, and many of the new cast members had a chance to talk in the new promo video for the season.
Here is what we learned from the new Survivor first-look video and what we know about the upcoming season.
Survivor 47 First-Look Teaser Released
The new season of the long-running reality TV series premieres on CBS on September 18. With the show coming up so soon, the network decided to release a new first-look teaser with some of the contestants talking about the challenges coming in the upcoming release.
The video was also posted to social media with the caption, “We’re radiating with anxiety over #Survivor: 47! What are ‘several’ things you’re excited for in this upcoming season?”
One of the people spotlighted in the teaser was Jon Lovett, a man who worked as a speechwriter for President Barack Obama. He is also a comedian and has hosted podcasts in the years since. “I was afraid to do it for reasons I couldn’t even express, because if I had said them out loud, I would realize I didn’t believe them,” Jon said about his experience (via Vulture).
The fans seemed ready for the show based on the comments, including people who were really excited to see Jon Lovett in the new season.
- “I absolutely cannot wait to see Lovett. I adore him because I see so much of myself in him.”
- “New cast looks like it’s full of charisma, I love it!!!”
- “Finally a good cast after last seasons trashy and bitter jury!!! Back to how it was from survivor 45 and previous.”
What To Expect From Survivor 47
The new season returns to Fiji, and 18 new castaways will compete for the big $1 million prize. The first night of the new season on September 18 will be a two-hour episode and then the rest will check in at 90 minutes for each week after that.
Jeff Probst will be back, and as he said previously, he is already planning out Survivor 50, so he will be around for a whole lot longer. This also comes off his Emmy nomination for Best Reality Host, his first in 13 years. He won four times from 2008 to 2011.
The new video shows a look at some of the new cast members, but the twists, competitions, names of all the challengers, and more are still announcements to come.
Survivor 47 premieres on CBS on Wednesday, September 18 at 8/7c.
