Teen Mom star Catelynn Lowell is publicly shaming Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa Davis via social media. She has been upset since they were unable to come to an agreement to meet up this year. So, Catelynn has been venting her anger wherever she can. Unfortunately, some followers believe this may push Carly away in the long run. Keep reading for more details.

Teen Mom Catelynn Lowell Publicly Shames Carly’s Adoptive Parents

When 16 & Pregnant first began, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra were a young couple who found themselves expecting. Since they had such dysfunctional upbringings, they felt the best choice was adoption. Their parents were not supportive at all but Cate and Tyler wanted the best for their baby girl. They found Brandon and Teresa Davis and went for an open adoption. Carly was born in 2009 and though it was the hardest thing they ever had to do, they let her be with people they felt would raise her in a way they could not. That pain has lingered for fifteen years.

Cate and Tyler have spent time with Carly, she was even at their wedding and has met her three sisters, Nova, Vaeda, and Rya. Unfortunately, things have started to become disconnected and the Teen Mom stars are not seeing eye to eye with Brandon and Teresa. They were broken when they could not see Carly in 2024 for her 15th birthday and now, Catelynn has shared a TikTok. Essentially, she is slamming Carly’s adoptive parents and noting she wished she knew better than to give her up.

@first.birth.mom the more you know the less likely an adoption agency will make money… so they make sure you don’t know… bc they want money. Its a known secret adoption is a business that profits by facilitating selling children. Adoptive parents are guaranteed a child. Adoption agencies are guaranteed to make money by selling a child. Adoptees are guaranteed a different life. First/birth parents are guaranteed to not have their child. The only ones I see fully benefitting are the adoption agencies and adoptive parents. There is definitely more to this. Dont believe me… just follow the money. #mommychavon #mommychavon♡ #findmeabbie #findmeabbie♡ #foundabbie #foundabbie♡ #reunion  #reunion♡ #lifeofafirstmom #lifeofafirstmom♡ #justmom #justmom♡ #adoption #adoption♡ ♬ Chill Vibes – Tollan Kim

Fans saw this and immediately felt that Catelynn Lowell needed to stop publicly shaming Carly’s adoptive parents. Mainly because this could cost her and Tyler a chance at ever having a relationship with the teen:

  • They are certainly allowed to feel their feelings, but airing it online for all to see is probably not the best idea and definitely not a a good way to get in B & T’s good graces.
  • It’s weird to keep doing this publicly when the other side is dead silent.
  • That was a dumb move.
  • These are conversations Cate needs to save for her therapist or her diary.

They Had No Idea

Some Teen Mom fans felt that if Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra knew how their lives would turn out, they would have kept Carly. However, they had no idea they would manage to stay together and build a happy life. As teens, who would have thought they would have made it to happily ever after? At the same time, others have brought up Tyler’s OnlyFans and how that may be a reason why Brandon and Teresa are hesitant to bring Carly around. There are many factors at play and no one is right or wrong.

Do you think that Catelynn should stay silent to keep the door open for Carly to come back? Or, is she allowed to say and do whatever she wants regardless of the ramifications? Let us know your thoughts and watch Teen Mom: The Next Chapter Thursdays on MTV.

  1. I’ve always felt bad about what they went through! I remember watching their 16 and pregnant episode and being like don’t do it! don’t do it! You can be a teen mom and still find a way to give your child a good life! They may have came from a dysfunctional family but so did I and I had my oldest son at 17 and he was the best thing thar has evet happened to me! They obviously would’ve been fine if they kept Carly and they known that for years! So I can’t imagine the massive amounts of regret they feel!! Atleast Carly will be 18 in a couple years and then they won’t have to ask those people for permission anymore they can just communicate with Carly! I’m sure they can’t wait!!

  2. you should have never put carley up for adoption if you knew that we’re going to do this to you you should keep her but now you cant keep her but you could go to court and get her back thats what i will do
