Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg has enjoyed a long stay on The Masked Singer. However, the actress is possibly looking for something new to do with her time. Here is what Jenny is looking at possibly doing.

Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg To Replace Dr. Ruth?

Now, Jenny wants to be a sex therapist. It looks like Jenny wants to replace the iconic Dr. Ruth Westheimer, the famed sex therapist who died at the age of 96. McCarthy has often called Dr. Ruth a “friend” and “mentor.” Now, one source says that Jenny wants to replace Dr. Ruth in that role (via In Touch Weekly).

“Jenny has admired Dr. Ruth for her entire career and it was always a dream of hers to fill that role in the culture eventually,” the source said. “That is to say, Jenny has been honing her skills as a relationship and sex expert for a long time.”

Since her Playboy days, McCarthy has seemingly wanted to move into this role. She even got a look at hosting a TV show with her daytime talk show, The Jenny McCarthy Show, although it only lasted for one season. “She wants to embrace her destiny and step up and actually make it happen now that Ruth is gone,” the source said.

What Did Dr. Ruth Westheimer Do?

Dr. Ruth Westheimer got her start on radio, where she had a program titled Sexually Speaking , which often challenged the norms of the day. She openly discussed taboo subjects involving sex and marriage. She then starred in her television showThe Dr. Ruth Show, starting in 1985.

Dr. Ruth died in July at 96. Unlike Jenny, Dr. Ruth was highly educated, with a doctorate of education in family-life studies from Columbia University at age 42. She also trained as a sex therapist at Cornell University’s Medical Center before getting her radio start.

The source did say that Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg will not find this easy and might find that people aren’t interested. “the landscape where Ruth made her reputation, the late night network talk shows, is radically different these days,” the source said. “Jenny is more of a reality TV star at the moment than anything else.”
