The Young & The Restless‘ Christine “Cricket” Blair (Lauralee Bell) was just an infatuated teen when she met rock star Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian.) Their first meeting aired on-screen in 1984. The two quickly formed a friendship that later turned romantic.
Danny and Cricket were a popular supercouple throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. Michael Damian left the show in 1998 to explore other opportunities. But he came back to Genoa City several times over the years.
Their romance was rekindled earlier this year, 40 years after their initial meeting. Danny and Cricket’s adventure takes them to Los Angeles next as the actors make a special appearance on The Bold & The Beautiful.
Details Of Upcoming B&B Crossover
Lauralee Bell previously appeared as Christine on The Bold & The Beautiful in 2007 and has made multiple appearances over the years. What brings her and Danny to Los Angeles? The actors shared the details in a joint interview with PEOPLE magazine.
The characters are invited to the Forrester mansion for an event to help relaunch Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) fashion line, ‘Brooke’s Bedroom.’ However, it turns out that Brooke and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) have ulterior motives and want to pitch a business idea.
According to Lauralee Bell, the idea was the brainchild of her brother, Bradley Bell. He is the executive producer and head writer at B&B.
It’s unclear if Danny and Christine will run into Taylor Hayes, now played by All My Children alum Rebecca Budig.
Michael Damian Spills Surprise For Viewers
Sometimes life truly does imitate art. At the height of his success as a fictional rock star, actor Michael Damian saw huge real-life success with his own music career.
Longtime fans are in for a huge treat during the B&B crossover. The actor/singer spilled to PEOPLE that the episode will feature a performance of a remix of his number one hit song, “Rock On.”
He teased that the remix would have a more “groovier dance groove” sound. “Rock On” topped the Billboard charts in 1989. Hey kids, rock and roll, rock on to Michael Damian performing the new version of the hit song on The Bold & The Beautiful. The crossover airs on the CBS show on Tuesday, August 13, and Wednesday, August 14.
