‘Welcome To Plathville’ Barry Plath’s A Fan Favorite, Why?
Barry Plath seems to have transformed from a mockable, mousey man in Season 1 to a fan favorite of Welcome to Plathville viewers. Admittedly, he hasn’t convinced all TLC fans that he deserves the label, but he’s well on the way to landing the number one spot. Read on to find out why.
Barry Plath Stepped Up For His Kids
Welcome to Plathville fans always thought that Kim Plath wore the pants in the house. With Olivia Plath, Kim seemed disappointed and angry. So, Barry had to go along with her banning Ethan and his wife from seeing the younger siblings without being chaperoned. Therefore, TLC viewers decided he was weak.
Since Barry Plath and his family moved off the farm and into town, a lot changed for Kim’s husband. She took off and left him. Furthermore, she dumped the younger kids with him. As he took the responsibility of fathering his kids alone quite well, the TLC star started getting a bit of respect. Now that he fights for them, admiration notches up a bit more.

Welcome to Plathville Star Rises In Popularity
Apart from TLC fans liking that Kim’s ex looks after his children, they also like that Micah helped him out with his style and fashion and took him to the gym. These days, many people agree that the dad of many kids looks rather hot. And some of them seem a bit thirsty.
Barry Plath and his sons went to the gym and it was filmed for the TLC show. There, the older man started doing all sorts of physical activity that showed off his fitness levels and muscles. Impressed, a fan took to Reddit to share their thoughts about it. In the caption, the OP wrote:
Damnn Barry..look at him go…You gotta give him credit this is a very healthy way to deal with your life imploding…
That was yet another example of why the TLC star became a fan favorite. However, he might become a favorite for more fans if he seeks some proper therapy for his broken marriage. Unfortunately. he doesn’t seem to encourage that for his son, Ethan Plath, or himself.
Those who hold off on praising him all the time still remember that he’s a fundie who isolated his kids from the real world, causing them to struggle with their own mental health issues.
