Olivia Plath and Ethan split, so Welcome to Plathville fans thought that she might leave the TLC show. However, she did not, and now some fans wonder if she’s just using the Plath family to profit for herself.
Olivia Plath Uses The Plath Family
In December, TLC fans spoke about Ethan Plath’s ex because they’d heard about the pending divorce. Many people felt that she would not be relevant. However, she returned and still plays a large role in the footage. At the time, TLC fans felt that she set double standards and manipulated everyone. That brought drama to the show and practically guaranteed a continuation of income.
Olivia Plath didn’t use the family and dump them as suspected, because she’s still around. It seems that the dumping might not come, at least, not yet. TLC fans can’t help but wonder why she stays. No longer part of the family, with a new boyfriend, why doesn’t she ride off into the sunset?

On Friday, an OP on Reddit posted something they saw about Ethan Plath’s former wife. It turned out that other Welcome to Plathville fans had also seen them. However, there was some lack of certainty that it was about the reality TV star. It was an advert for Fantastic Sam’s hair campaign. Furthermore, they have been seen in many states.

After some discussion, people finally agreed that it was her, albeit touched up a bit with some photoshopping. Here are their thoughts on the income-generating advert. Bear in mind, before she hooked up with the Plaths she wasn’t modeling as far as anyone knows.
- I am such an anti Olivia. Also Ethan. Can we just stop this madness on the show? Olivia bringing in her family as boring as she is, is a game changer. I just FF. Let her go and grow up from this. She just distracts [from what] the show is about.
- It’s her. She’s been doing hair ads for years, you can see them all over the country. It’s her side gig.
- I’m not a fan of Olivia, I just find her exhausting, but this hair color is fire on her.
