Fans Beg Olivia Plath Not To Come Back To Show
Welcome to Plathville fans are BEGGING Olivia Plath not to allow TLC to coax her into signing on for another season of the series. This, however, isn’t because fans don’t like Olivia. In fact, one fan started a thread on Reddit to explain that this request came from a place of love for Olivia, not a place of hate.
If it isn’t because fans dislike Olivia Plath, why is it that they want her to exit the TLC series? Keep reading for a breakdown on what fans are thinking right now.
Fans Beg Olivia Plath To Walk Away
In a thread on Reddit labeled as a “hot take,” one fan is begging Olivia Plath to avoid allowing TLC to convince her to do another season.
Now, the fan admits they understand Olivia and Ethan JUST announced they were getting a divorce. So, covering their divorce and looking at their new lives without each other is something TLC may want to cover.
Fans, however, don’t really want that for Olivia. Instead, they want her to walk away from the family for good.
“By not agreeing to continue with the show, you’re leaving it to the viewer to see how unhinged the family is (without your presence being pulled in like every season).” The OP of the Reddit thread explained.
…She needs to leave the show to the family and let it crash and burn themselves. There’s nothing more to prove on her part. She’s repeated throughout the whole series of her mistreatment and the only thing she can do is walk away, even from the show.”
The OP acknowledged the network may want to look at how much happier she is split from the Plath family. But, this particular fan suspects the show is “on its way to flop.”
The Welcome to Plathville fan concluded: “We’re all tired of their lackluster production anyway, I could see it lasting -maybe- another season until it’s finished. In no way is this appraising or condoning her behavior, it’s just a take on the future of the show.”
Other Fans Had Mixed Responses
Now, there were several TLC fans who didn’t like the idea of her leaving the show. These fans argued that Olivia is the one ray of sunshine they enjoy in the series. So, they would not watch it if she left. The OP, however, argues that is the entire point of wanting Olivia to leave, so the show ends.
One Welcome to Plathville pointed out that people will continue to watch this “dumpster fire” family. And, they believed Olivia should stick with the show and continue to get a paycheck.
Fans were all over the place in whether they agreed with the OP. They, however, stood pretty united in the fact that they loved Olivia Plath.
