‘MrBeast’ Dirty Underwear, Lack Of Medical Help Allegations
MrBeast is back in the news again, and it isn’t for good things this time. Shortly after he released a collaborator following abuse claims, he is now facing some allegations of his own. For him, it is all about his upcoming Beast Games reality TV show coming to Amazon for unsafe filming conditions.
Here is what you need to know about the allegations against MrBeast and his new show.
MrBeast Accused Of Unsafe Working Conditions On Beast Games
Beast Games is a new reality show that MrBeast made for Amazon that is supposed to push contestants to the limit. However, it turns out that the limits did not come with proper medical support. There was a release reform signed before people appeared on the show, which is concerning.
According to the release form, the contestants had to sign a form that read, “I understand that such activities may cause me death, illness or serious bodily injury, including, but not limited to exhaustion, dehydration, overexertion, burns, and heat stroke.”
However, this is pretty typical for many reality TV contracts and is included on shows like Survivor and Naked and Afraid. There are also situations on those shows where people had to be hospitalized and taken away in ambulances. However, on Beast Games, it seems the conditions were even worse.
Some contestants were seen taken out on stretchers, although there is no word on any long-lasting medical conditions. There were over a dozen people who competed in the series who said that there were also accusations of contestants vomiting, passing out, and being taken to the hospital.
They also said there was a lack of food, with only two meals a day, and dietary allergies were not taken into account. However, MrBeast’s representative said there were three meals a day. There were also reports that contestants were not allowed to have prescription medication on their persons, and those medications were not given out when they were supposed to.
One contestant said they denied the food she required to take her medication and was told she didn’t need to eat. After asking repeatedly, she was given half a banana (via The New York Times).
MrBeast Reality Show Faces Harsh Accusations
There were problems with the entire shoot of Beast Games. The shooting was affected by the 2024 CrowdStrike incident. This event caused an outage that disrupted daily life, businesses, and governments around the world.
“The MrBeast promotional video shoot, which included over 2,000 participants, was unfortunately complicated by the CrowdStrike incident, extreme weather, and other unexpected logistical and communications issues, which we are currently reviewing,” a MrBeast representative said (via The Wrap).
Amazon never responded to the allegations. However, these are similar to the allegations that were leveled against Squid Game: The Challenge on Netflix. Beast Games offered everyone in the first round $1,000 whether they moved on or not.
What are your thoughts on the Beast Games controversy? Do you think the conditions were as bad as the contestants claimed or is this a case of people not moving on lashing out at MrBeast and his show? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
