My 600-Lb Life guest Latonya Pottain has plenty of fans worried at the moment. Although she is one of the more recent guests on the series, fans are still invested in her story and want to see her succeed.

My 600-Lb Life Season 11 Guest Latonya Pottain Had Many Ups And Downs
My 600-Lb Life viewers met Latonya Pottain in Season 11. She hailed from Shreveport, Louisiana, a city not far from the Texas border. Her journey to Dr. Now’s office in Texas wasn’t as far as other guests on the show. However, she did struggle to adjust to her new health regime and diet requirements.
Onscreen, Dr. Now told Latonya that she had already eaten the next four years of food ahead of time. He wanted her to lose at least 40-50 lbs in a month to approve her for surgery. She even hired a personal trainer to help.
Like many other My 600-Lb Life patients, Latonya struggled with many mental health issues, which contributed to her weight gain. She turned to overeating to help numb the painful feelings she had regarding her parents. Dr. Paradise stepped in to help, hopefully putting her on the right track.
Latonya Pottain Asks For Prayers On Her Facebook Page
Sadly, like many My 600-Lb Life patients, Latonya is struggling with some health issues. This week, she shared on her Facebook page that she was battling serious heart issues.
“Y’all pray for me my heart not working right and there is nothing more the doctors can do here in Louisiana please keep me lifted,” Latonya shared on her Facebook page on July 27, along with a series of crying emojis. She didn’t elaborate much, but she has posted on Facebook a few times over the past few days.
In Latonya’s episode, she describes how her mother passed away from a heart attack, so this update is especially concerning.
In the comments, My 600-Lb Life viewers expressed concern for Latonya. They left comments including:
- “God has the final say!!! God please keep her it’s in his hands keep the faith my sister!! I’m in Texas keeping you in our prayers”
- “I am sooo sorry. Praying for you, have you tried another Dr Houston is close by.”
- “You got this I have heart issues as well”
- “Praying for a speedy healing”
Several more simply left praying emojis. Even though it’s a difficult situation, Latonya remains in the thoughts and prayers of her friends, family, and fans from the show.
Hopefully, Latona Pottain will receive the help she needs and receive answers about her health.
