She helps guide the “next generation of curious minds” at the Forensics Club. This is at the Astor Academy For Girls.
One day, at the school, Jazz is showing a demonstration of one of her “crime-sensing dog trainees.” The pooch helps find a murder victim on the third floor. Now, she is no longer demonstrating because this is a bonafide crime scene.
The head of the local police’s major crimes unit is Detective Nick Kolesov. He is no stranger to Jazz, as he also happens to be her ex-boyfriend. He is investigating and at first, he doesn’t want Jazz to stick her nose, or her dog’s nose in this business.
However, Nick soon realizes that Jazz has a unique expertise. Her skill at working with dogs is also critical in working on this case. Besides, she is an alumnus of this school and has some insights that he doesn’t have. Jazz is invaluable.
