Technology may have advanced considerably since Friends first aired, but, many of the concepts and human dilemmas remain the same. No matter what people think of the show today, the late Matthew Perry was a huge piece that made that puzzle successful.

Matthew Perry’s dating history is chock-full of A-listers. He certainly had no trouble with the ladies, and he played the field with some of the most desirable women in the entertainment industry. Famous people dating other famous people is certainly nothing new, and Perry did his fair share of that.
Some of Matthew Perry’s most high-profile romances include time with Julia Roberts, dalliances with Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Lizzy Caplan, and more. He was not married at the time of his death in 2023, but, he was previously engaged to literary manager Molly Hurwitz.
Matthew Perry Had Unrequited Love For Friends Co-Star?
Despite having his pick of Hollywood A-listers for potential girlfriends, Matthew Perry’s biggest secret crush seemed to be on none other than one of his Friends co-stars. Like many people who watched the popular show, Matthew Perry had a crush on Jennifer Aniston.
It turns out, the pair met through mutual friends before they were ever co-stars on Friends. Perry previously stated in his memoir that he was “immediately taken by her.” He was crushing on her even when the pair started filming Friends, a few years after the pair met.
Of course, Jennifer Aniston was a hot commodity herself back in the day as the iconic Rachel Green. Even though Aniston is still turning heads at 55, she also had her pick of the most eligible bachelors in Hollywood.
These included romances with Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz, Vince Vaughn, John Mayer, and, of course, her marriage to Brad Pitt as well. She later married Justin Theroux, but the pair ultimately ended up parting ways, too.
So, it certainly makes sense why things did not go very far with her friend, Matthew Perry.
