‘DWTS’ Maks Chmerkovskiy Talks Being A New Father Of Three
Professional dancers Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd just welcomed their third son into the world. After struggling with infertility and sharing their failed IVF story with the world, fans are delighted to see them have a houseful of children.
So how are the couple adjusting to being the parents of three?
Maks Chmerkovskiy Loves Building His Family
The Chmerkovskiy family has a house full of boys and they couldn’t be happier. The oldest son Shai, is 7, while the middle son Rio just celebrated his first birthday. Just after the first birthday party, Maks and Peta brought baby Milan home from the hospital.
“Are you ever ready to be a parent of multiple children?” the Ukrainian dancer shared with HELLO! “We’re also excited because we see it. You know how you can see it. You’re seeing yourself. Like I see me, my super hot wife looking fly. I look fly. We got three gorgeous sons.”

“I’m looking forward to continuing being a real loving, real family that’s focused on each other and building that small little community that we started from within,” Maks continued.
Maks’ younger brother Val Chmerkovskiy and his wife Jenna Johnson also have a son, Rome. Rome and Rio are just a few months apart, making their hoard of boys even bigger. Without a doubt, family celebrations are about to become even more exciting as the boys grow up.
“Peta and I, we’ve found ourselves to be very good at getting on the same page when it comes to the fundamentals. Fundamentally, we just want a healthy and happy family. … Fundamentally, we are in a real loving, beautiful relationship. This is not some kind of Hollywood get together, you know?” Maks added.
“So yeah. I’m looking forward to continuing being a real loving, real family that’s focused on each other and building that small little community that we started from within… Another thing, you complain about the world, I read somewhere, well, start by making better humans. This is what I’m trying to do. I’m trying to raise three boys that are better than me, in every aspect. And hopefully I’ll be successful.”
Could The Ukrainian Dancer Ever Return To DWTS?
Peta Murgatroyd previously said she would like to return to Dancing With The Stars this fall. As a result, someone needs to stay home and take care of the boys. That’s typically Maks’ job when Peta is performing. However, the father of three is always looking for new performing opportunities. If the conditions are right for a DWTS return, he may just jump at it.
