‘RHOA’ Apollo Nida Arrested, Charged With Assault
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks‘ ex-husband Apollo Nida has been arrested. This is not his first time to be arrested, as he previously spent over five years in prison. However, this one was for assault, and it came from a call to the police by his current wife, Sherien Almufti.

‘RHOA’ Apollo Nida Charged With Assault
Apollo Nida was arrested and charged with assault on March 11. The court documents reveal that his wife, Sherien Almufti, accused him of getting physical with her. According to the police report, Sherien said that she had come home from a bar with friends and had “three alcoholic drinks” while there.
She then claims that the two started arguing about how “they were cheating on each other.” She said that Apollo showed her a video where she was kissing another man. Sherien then said that he grabbed her by the hair and pushed her against a refrigerator (via In Touch Weekly).
After this, Sherien said they had a “shuffle,” then she ran outside and yelled for help. She noted that Apollo left, so she returned to get her phone and called the police. Sherien claims there was surveillance video of the altercation. However, the police said the footage showed no physical altercation at all.
Apollo admitted that he tried to take her phone, but she rolled it up on the ground to protect it. He said he got the phone from her. He also said he went outside to return the phone and that she was lying when she said he left before she could get it.
Sherien had no marks or bruises that showed any physical altercation.
Apollo Nida Legal Problems
The police arrested Apollo Nida and charged him with domestic violence and simple assault. He went to jail, was processed, and posted a $3,000 bond for his release hours later.
The prosecutors charged Apollo with one misdemeanor count of simple battery — family violence. There was a hearing last month, and there is no word on if Apollo has an attorney or what he plead.
Sherien claims it was a “blowout between a married couple” and that it brought them closer together. She said they have worked through their issues and are going to couples therapy.
Apollo has a criminal record. In 2014, he was convicted of bank fraud and identity theft. The former RHOA star faced up to 30 years in prison but cut a plea deal. Phaedra Parks filed for divorce while he was in prison. He was then given five years of probation after his 2019 release.
