Claim To Fame, Big Brother 26, and many other popular shows will be affected on Wednesday, July 24th by the presidential address. President Biden will address the nation now that he will no longer seek reelection in 2024. Therefore, most stations will cover this leaving several shows preempted. So, how long will they be delayed and what is affected? Keep reading for more details.

Claim To Fame, Big Brother & More Affected By Presidential Address

These shows have just got underway but already Claim To Fame and the new season of Big Brother will be delayed. In the second episode of CTF, two contestants were sent home and they happened to be the guesses. The first was Jill, the niece of John Stamos and the second was Gracie Lou Hyland, niece of Jon Cryer. Gracie Lou was a hard guess as it was unbelievable that they would have two people from The Brat Back essentially in the same house. In any case, that show is affected as well as Big Brother 26 which has implemented an AI twist.

Now, those are not the only two that will be affected by President Biden speaking. According to TV Insider, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? will also be preempted. The guests tonight will be Dave Coulier/John Stamos and  Nicole Byer/Sasheer Zamata. Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars was set to have its two-hour season finale this evening but that will be delayed. Finally, Season 1, Episode 5 of The Real CSI: Miami is also being held back by the address.

Now, the good part is that all of these shows are expected to start just one hour after their scheduled time. So, they will still air on Wednesday, July 24th just not in their regular timeslot. This could be frustrating for those who watch other programs or who do not want to stay up. Another thing is that those watching on the West Coast will not be affected by the address at all. Many of these shows can be viewed tomorrow on Hulu or on streamers like Sling or Philo. They can also be DVRd.

What To Expect

With Big Brother 26, anything can and will happen. As for Claim To Fame, the episode description reads as this:

“The fan-favorite challenge of Telephone returns; the recipient of the Wine Clue grows confident in a competitor’s identity; an alliance is tested at the Guess Off.”

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? is reuniting two fan favorites from Full House so even if they lose, the audience wins. Then, for the Food Stars finale, here is what viewers should expect:

“The three finalists must craft a pitch that encompasses themselves and their businesses to a room full of industry professionals; Gordon and Lisa crown the Season Two winner.

So, just remember that everything will be delayed by one hour but not if you are on PST. Are you upset about the preemption or does it not bother you that much? Let us know in the comments below.
