The GoFundMe for When Calls the Heart actress Mamie Laverock has been shut down. This happened in an update to the GoFundMe page on Wednesday, July 17. The cancelation of the fundraiser also came with a surprising message that seemed to be from Mamie herself.

Here is what the message said and an update on Mamie following her traumatic experiences.

Mamie Laverock Sends Message Out To Fans

Mamie Laverock’s GoFundMe page was updated this week, and it sounds like there might be good news coming after her traumatic injuries. The fundraiser was ended, and the family announced that they made the decision. They also thanked fans for their support.

The closure also included what seems to be a personal message from Mamie herself. In the message, she wrote, “Thank you so much. I don’t even know what to say. My heart is full. Thank you again. I have no words to describe my gratitude. Love you guys. Thank you. MAMIE.”

The fundraiser was seeking $30,000, and friends and fans donated $39,022. Mamie’s mother and stepfather ran the GoFundMe to help pay the medical bills. Nicole Rockmann and Rob Compton also thanked fans and said they decided as a family to end the fundraiser.

“The Fund has now closed. Please know how much you helped this family in our hardest circumstances. Thank you for caring. Warmth, Nicole and Rob,” they wrote. Mamie just celebrated her 20th birthday on July 8.

Mamie Laverock Medical Updates

On her birthday, her mother posted that “Mamie moved onto her stomach, pushed herself up and held onto me … at that moment we realized we could have our first hug.” This also came just two weeks after Mamie’s mom said that “Mamie survived her injuries, however her road to recovery will be long. I will be setting up a mailbox for all of your cards and well wishes shortly.”

The fact that just weeks after she said it was a long road, Mamie sat up, and then two weeks later, they ended the GoFundMe speaks wonders to her recovery process.

As a reminder, Mamie Laverock was rushed to the hospital in May after a “medical emergency” while in Winnipeg. She was in “intensive treatment,” and then, when the medical team was transporting her to an upper level, Mamie fell off a balcony walkway and fell five stories. There is still no word on how this happened, but it caused her severe injuries.

Her mother said her “body has been shattered.” The hospital would not release information about the accident because of patient privacy policies. Mamie’s family also didn’t reveal what exactly happened.
