Fans Want Nicole Scherzinger Back

Even though fans are excited about the new season, many people took to the comments to express disappointment that Nicole Scherzinger is not returning for Season 12.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like she’ll be returning this season. Fans were sure to sound off about it in the comments. “Yeah I like Rita, but (y’all) can’t just replace Nicole and not tell us why?!” one person wrote.

Another fan chimed in, “Loved having Rita but we miss Nicole.” A third viewer exclaimed, “I thought Nicole was coming back!!” A fourth stated, “Still no Nicole. Ok (I’ll) come back when she returns.”

Viewers do like Rita Ora on the show, but Season 11 was the first time the judge’s panel was changed since the show made its debut in 2019. Understandably, it’s taken them some time to get used to the change, and many wish Nicole would make a return.

Rita Ora took Nicole’s place on the judge’s panel during Season 11 while she starred in Sunset Boulevard in London’s West End.

Luckily for fans, there is some good news. In a previous interview ahead of Season 10, Nicole Scherzinger talked about continuing her work on The Masked Singer. She said, “Oh my gosh, I would love to, are you kidding me?I love my [Masked Singer] family. And it’s such a great job. Are you kidding? I love it. Yes.”

However, the former Pussycat Dolls star is now preparing to take Sunset Boulevard to Broadway. Previews of the show will start on September 28 and it opens on Broadway on October 20. Her performance in the musical won her the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical.

She was previously nominated in 2015 for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical for her beautiful performance as Grizabella in Cats. While she has expressed that she’d like to return to The Masked Singer eventually, it is unclear when her career will allow her to do so.
