Fire Country is not only coming back for a third season, but it is now one of CBS’s new flagship shows. There is a Fire Country spinoff coming, and it looks like this is the franchise the network is backing on for the future. The best news is that we now have more information on when it returns and what fans can expect.

Here is what you need to know about Fire Country Season 3.

Fire Country Season 3 Release Date

Fire Country Season 2 ended with a major cliffhanger, as Max Thieriot’s Bode Leone went back to prison, but then got an early release as the season came to an end. This means he has a chance to return and become part of the firefighting force that now gives his life meaning.

The second season only ran from February 16 to May 17 with a shortened season thanks to the writer’s strike. What is even more impressive is that the third season will return just five months after the second ended. Fire Country Season 3 premieres on CBS on October 18, 2014, at 9/8c on CBS.

This early release also promises that the show will be more like regular broadcast dramas, with a 22-episode season. That was the same length as Season 1, although Season 2 only had 10 episodes. Even with the shorter second season, it still averaged around nine million viewers an episode, one of the most watched shows on television.

Fire Country Season 1 About To Hit Netflix

In some more great news, Fire Country Season 1 will hit Netflix before Season 3 premieres. This is great news since it means that anyone who missed out on the first season can catch up on it before the new season starts.

Fire Country Season 1 hits Netflix on August 1, giving fans plenty of time to catch up before the new season. Now, there is still no way to watch Fire Country Season 2 without going to Paramount+, where it is exclusively streaming. With that said, Netflix will now give fans a chance to try out the show from the start.

This is also smart thinking for CBS. By adding the show to Netflix, they can keep it fresh in fans’ minds heading into the fall season, while also trying to lure new fans over for the new season. When Suits moved to Netflix, it ended up creating a huge buzz for the show. This is different, as the show is still new and it could help build it for the future.
