When 9-1-1 returns to ABC, fans are in for a frightening treat. In the Season 8 premiere, it appears that a very scary danger is coming that the first responders will have to deal with at great risk to themselves. This all comes from a new promo that offers a “stinging” moment.

Here is what the new promo reveals for 9-1-1 Season 8’s premiere.

9-1-1 Season 8 Promo Offers A Lot Of ‘Sting’

A new promo came out for 9-1-1 Season 8, which is still two months away from premiering. However, this promo shows that some scary things are coming for the first responders in that show’s world. It brings the idea of starting some “buzz” to a new level.

The promo hit Instagram, featuring the show’s logo against a black backdrop. However, in the photo were three very threatening bugs, either killer bees or maybe murder hornets. In the caption, the show’s social media team wrote, “What’s all that buzz about?” before revealing the new release date of September 26, 2024, at 8/7c on ABC.

Now, this might just be a fun play on words, and the bugs are nothing more than a symbol of a “buzz” for the show. However, if the entire premiere episode sees the first responders showing up and having to deal with a swarm of whatever these are, most fans will likely be squirming in their seats.

The good news is that not much is changing for 9-1-1. Since Disney moved it from Fox to ABC, it has been one of the rare Fox shows that have been saved from cancellation. Most of the cast should be back, with Angela Bassett as Athena, Oliver Stark as Buck, Peter Krause as Bobby, Jennifer Love Hewitt as Maddie, Aisha Hinds as Hen, Kenneth Choi as Chimney, Ryan Guzman as Eddie, and Gavin McHugh as Christopher.

9-1-1: Lone Star Also Returning For At Least One More Season

9-1-1: Lone Star is also returning, but it might only have one season remaining before it ends. It never moved to ABC with its sister show, and as it remains on Fox, that network is eliminating most of the old Fox shows from before the Disney takeover.

The new season will still air on Fox, and the cast is excited about it, calling it the best season ever. However, no one has received contract extensions for a season after this, and the options run out this month. That means things might be coming to an end for the Rob Lowe-led series.
