Hallmark+ Is New Streaming Service Featuring Reality Shows, Original Movies, Limited Series
Hallmark is rebranding and upgrading its Hallmark Movies Now streaming service. Starting in September, it is going to be called Hallmark+. The price jumps $2.00 monthly but with much more original content, and a gamified experience. This content includes Hallmark stars hosting reality shows, as well as more original movies, as well as limited series. Viewers also get prizes and other incentives for watching.
Here are all the details.
HMN Is Becoming Hallmark+
On Thursday, at the TCA Summer 2024, Hallmark made a huge change to their HMN App. Now called Hallmark+, they are launching a streaming service that includes a lot of new original content. That includes reality shows “with heart.” In addition, some new movies, and limited series.
According to Deadline, the new service is gamified. They are offering some perks for those viewing their programming. Sharing this news, Hallmark CEO and President Mike Perry explained, “By intertwining new, rich content experiences with tangible rewards and premium Hallmark gifts, we are delivering a unique, new program that reflects our commitment to spreading joy through our deeply beloved brand touchpoints.”
Hallmark+ Airing Original Reality Shows With Heart
The new streaming site will air a cornucopia of reality shows “with heart.” That includes Celebrations with Lacey Chabert. The Queen of Christmas will honor real-life heroes. Next, Jonathan Bennett is hosting Finding Mr. Christmas. In this series, ten actors do a cornucopia of deeds to win the opportunity to star as a leading man in a movie. Lastly, Wes Brown hosts Ready, Set, Glow! where he travels around the country to find the best holiday lights and decorations.
These all sound great. However, in 2025, the streaming service will add two more reality series. Ashley Williams hosts Small Town Setup, where she helps parents play matchmaker. Also, Luke Macfarlane helps renovate an “important room” in the house of a family in Home Is Where The Heart Is.
