Is On Patrol: Live set to end at the beginning of 2025? The fan-favorite real-life cop series has amassed fans all over. So, why would it end at the height of its success when viewers are sad when the show skips a week or two? Keep reading for more details on the future of the Reelz hit.

On Patrol: Live Ending In Early 2025?

When Live PD came to an end in 2020, fans were upset. They loved watching the lives of cops and what they went through. Different cities and various officers had experiences that were fascinating to see. Plus, the interactions with those they arrested tended to be over the top. Fortunately, the series was rebranded to On Patrol: Live, and viewers were happy again. At the same time, some fans felt OPL lacked some of the drama and excitement that Live PD had.

Still, they tune into Reelz on Fridays and Saturdays to catch their favorite officers and all the drama they can handle. Unfortunately, there is a rumor circulating that the show will be coming to an end in January 2025. It made its way to Reddit where a thread was started with the OP writing this:

  • Apparently the show was going to run until January of next year. Let’s hope it’s not actually true. I hope it gets picked up for more seasons because this show is my favorite part of the weekend.

So, had any other On Patrol: Live fans heard about this or was it new information? More so, were they confident the series would be renewed?

  • REELZ renews (or not) things per-season. Season 3 starts in three days, so there is no basis for the show ending in January.
  • Same! This is something I look forward to each week too! How can it not be picked up! 😣
  • The network they’re on signs all their contracts 1 year at a time. 3rd season starts this week and will run thru to next July and then they will sign another year. Show isn’t going anywhere, it’s their highest rated show

All On The Network

So, based on what fans had to say, On Patrol: Live is very highly rated but it is all dependent on how Reelz works. They renew shows every season and do not apparently do it in bulk. Therefore, once Season 3 is coming to a close, it will likely get renewed for Season 4. In the end, fans need not worry and just enjoy the ride for the time being. Come January 2025, the show will still be running every weekend so get excited.

  1. So, pick a subject, any subject. Create an exaggerated headline that invites passionate people to click. Then write a story that effectively states the headline was meaninless and that the outcome was, as yet, undecided. As a former journalist, I’m ashamed, disappointed and angry. The question for money, power and notoriety sees no bounds.

  2. I’m thinking they will change, or let’s say adapt, their process of returning programming regardless of the year duel to the associated revenue stream. Cash cows are not discontinued until they are no longer profitable and Americans love to see other peoples stupid decisions and associated drama. My bet it will be around for a while. And no, it was absolutely never on the block. People actually know there is a tv channel called ‘Reelz’ thanks to OPL.

  3. The one thing I look forward to every week is On Patrol Live… I think the realism touches people in a special way because they get to see the officers at their best and not only hear about the handful at their worst.. I also think it gives the criminals a little something to think about and it gives the rest of the civilians a look at how bad it really is out on the streets where these men and women go every day to fight for our safety and to truly protect and serve… I thank all the men and women for the life that I get to live knowing that the police are out on the streets along with the bad guys.

  4. Please do not take this away. It is the only thing that I watch on TV. It helps to restore the feelings that cops are the good guys, professionals, and deserve once again to be called our heros.

  5. My husband and I are both retired law enforcement and fire fighters. Our family members are law enforcement current and retired, also retired military. This show is our Friday and Saturday night specials!!. We all live in different states and talk in conference about the goings on!! Of course, HazenAR MileMarkerc197 is what we look for when going to Tennessee. This show and its respective departsments and their officers has become a part of our family. Don’t take this show off air!! WHERE’S CAPT.DANNY BROWN??? GOD BLESS HIM WHEREVER HE AND HIS UNIT ARE! WE MISS HIM!! DON’T TAKE AWAY “ON PATROL LIVE” ITS SHOWS THE REAL STORY OF WHAT OUR LAW OFFICERS DO AT NIGHT TO PROTECT US!! WE DESERVE TO SEE THIS!!! THANK YOU DAN ABRAMS, ETAL!

  6. Love the show ! That being said, there needs to be less cutting to breaks and to other departments when things get juicy. We all need to be able to see how dastardly that the ignorant and stupid really are with the exception of seeing a human laying there all bloodied from being shot and possibly dead. This is where I regularly ridiculed the show when it was in Paterson, NJ. i live nearby to Paterson and know that they were being selective in what was shown and not shown due to it being a city of minorities with an insane drugs and gangs population. Paterson could put 1000 officers on the streets and they would be kept busy if they proactively patrolled.

  7. OPL is my favorite show. I watch live and record so if I fall asleep I don’t miss anything. My husband doesn’t watch it, well he’s started to sit down and watch alot of it! I enjoyed especially when they were in Beech Grove, Indiana which was 5 min..away from my son’s house. It is amazing what some of these criminals say and most of all it gives a very clear picture what law enforcement go thru everyday..Please keep this show going, it truly is the best thing on tv. Every Friday & Saturday I can be found in front of TV, pj’s on and my large bowl of ice cream ready for the show!

  8. I love this show so much!!!! I wish the episodes were longer than 3 hours! I find myself watching reruns just in case I missed something lol.

  9. it’s the only show on TV worth watching… The only reason I have Peacock is for Realz TV so if On patrol live goes away I’ll do away with Peacock… I love On Patrol Live.

  10. please don’t stop the show. it is the only thing on that is generally worth watching other than YouTube. I was really upset when they canceled the original and made several calls. hoping they would bring the show back. OPL shines a spotlight on officers. it is the only show that is a true champion for our law enforcement and what they deal with. we have never missed an episode of on patrol live. please find a way to keep it
