The cast for Big Brother 26 may get a jumpstart on the festivities this season. A rumor is circulating on social media that the producers of the show may be filming the first episode(s) before the premiere. So, is the rumor true, and what does it mean for the live feeds? Keep reading to find out.

Big Brother Cast Moving In One Day Early

Apparently, the move-in day for the Big Brother 26 cast is July 16, which is one day before the season premiere. This means that the cast could be playing the game for 24 or more hours before the first episode airs.

If this is true, it could mean there will be a waiting period for the live feeds to be turned on. While this isn’t the norm for Big Brother, there are a number of reasons why the producers might have chosen to have the cast move in early for the Summer 2024 season.

Although this means fans might not get to watch a live move-in, it could mean more curated and exciting moments during the season premiere. A live move-in means viewers get to meet the cast straight away, but it doesn’t come without its hangups. Usually, much of the episode is watching Julie Chen Moonves explain the first challenges to the houseguests.

Viewers have also noted that previous move-ins often felt rushed. Producers were rushed to get everything done on the same day as the premiere. In the end, it limited the type of challenges that Big Brother houseguests could play in the season premiere.

With the chaos of a live move-in removed from the season premiere, viewers might get something that is a little more organized. Who knows, it could even mean the return of the Endurance Challenge for the first episode.

Not The First Time BB Houseguests Moved In Early

This isn’t the first time that Big Brother houseguests have moved in prior to the premiere date. The “Old School” era of BB had the cast move in several days before the first episode aired. Players typically started the game over the weekend before a Wednesday or Thursday premiere.
