‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva’ Will Depart From The Original Mothership
Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are ready to head on a new adventure in the upcoming spinoff NCIS: Tony & Ziva. Their new spinoff series is going to start filming anytime now. Therefore, fans want to know any and everything that will happen with this highly-anticipated series.
The pair have shared some information on the spinoff including how it will be different from the original series. What did the two stars have to say about their new series?
Michael Weatherly And Cote de Pablo Filming NCIS: Tony & Ziva Soon
Deadline reported that Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are gearing up to film their new series NCIS: Tony & Ziva soon. In this new spinoff series, Tony and Ziva and their daughter Tali, are in Europe. Something happens to Tony’s security company that puts their lives at risk. Therefore, they are on the run as they try to figure out who is out to get them.
This new series will do something that has not been done before. They are going to be away from the familiar surroundings of the NCIS headquarters. This means a lot of new sorts of challenges. Cote de Pablo shared, “We wanted to take these two characters away from the Agency and put them in a world, and the world that was attractive to us was international.”
However, the two stars of the series kept pretty quiet about any other specific details.
Where Are They Filming NCIS: Tony & Ziva?
Where will this NCIS spinoff be filmed? Most fans of the hit CBS military procedural series know that Tony is living in Paris with Tali. The last viewers saw of Ziva David was when she was headed there to reunite with Tony and her daughter. However, they are not filming in Paris.
Weatherly revealed that although the ultimate choice was to film in Paris, this was impossible this summer. That is because they are hosting the Summer Olympics. He then revealed where it would be filmed. “Budapest will stand in for parts of Europe and the cameras will move some very exciting other places.” However, he did not offer even a hint of where else they could be filming.
There Is A ‘New Element Of Trouble’
In the upcoming spinoff series NCIS: Tony & Ziva, there is “a new element of trouble.” That is in the form of the couple’s teenage daughter Tali. Michael Weatherly explained why Tali is a big part of the equation. “Every choice that Tony and Ziva have to make in their adventure, their child is first and foremost in the front of their mind. when we were on the NCIS the Mothership, we didn’t have children.”
He continued. “When you have a child, you have to navigate what is best for them. And then maybe you have a co-parent that you have a tumultuous relationship with…and oh, wait, we also have to save the world.”
It sounds like a lot of moving parts!
When Does NCIS: Tony & Ziva Premiere?
The premiere of NCIS: Tony & Ziva will be sometime later in 2024, on Paramount+. Those dates should be announced by the fall.
