Deon Derrico & His Mom GG Land In ER, What Happened?
Deon Derrico has shared a number of concerning posts recently. Fans shared their concerns with the TLC star after he posted a Robin Williams quote to his Instagram Story. Later, he shared a snapshot of his own hand next to his mother’s. Both of them were in the hospital together, but what happened? Keep reading to find out.
Fans Are Concerned About Deon Derrico
Doubling Down With The Derricos fans have watched as the family worked together through tough times. There is no doubt that raising 14 children comes with its own set of challenges, but Deon Derrico seems to be going through it right now.
On top of the news of his divorce from Karen Derrico, Deon’s mother (GG) was diagnosed with cancer. With his mom being ill, and his marriage falling apart, there is no wonder why fans are concerned about the TLC star.
Deon recently addressed the concerns of his followers in a video on Instagram. The Doubling Down With The Derricos star said that he appreciated everyone voicing their worries after he posted the Robin Williams quote. As many people know, Williams committed suicide in 2014. Seeing a quote from him on Deon’s Instagram Story had people worried about his mental health.
Despite the numerous stressors in his life right now, Deon Derrico assured fans that he was emotionally and mentally well. “I shared that post to help any and everyone who’s possibly dealing with something and it’s causing grief in their lives!! I’m not in ANYWAY SAD or depressed, I have never ever been suicidal!!!” he said.
In the background of the video, it is clear that Deon is in a hospital, but most people assume it was to visit with his mom. However, a recent update from the TLC star revealed that he had to make a trip to the emergency room as well.
Deon & GG Are In The Emergency Room
On Tuesday, he posted a photo of his hand holding his mother’s. Both of them sported hospital bracelets. The caption shared more information about what was going on.
“This past week has been a doozie to say the least… today both GG, and I were literally in emergency at the same time!! We are both okay now!!” Deon wrote. “GG’s potassium was very low and she was dehydrated. They are keeping her in the hospital for further observations but she’s talking smack and getting on my case which is always a great sign!”

Fans rushed to the comments to find out what was happening and express their concern over Deon and GG.
“Feel better quick GG and please consider taking a different picture,” one person wrote. “My heart sank for a minute these hand pictures are usually their last pictures.”
Another person commented, “Glad she’s talking smack always a great sign. Hope you both get well soon.”
Several people inquired about why Deon Derrico was also in the hospital, but he has not yet responded to those comments.
