Pumpkin & Honey Boo Boo Open Up On Mama June’s Ozempic
June Shannon, AKA Mama June from Mama June: Family Crisis has been taking Ozempic to help her lose weight, and her daughters, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson opened up on their thoughts about it. It came ahead of the current season of the WeTV show, which revealed the big fight about Alana’s college money.
Mama June Previously Tried To Lose Weight Without Drugs
The WETV star only revealed that she tried using drugs to assist with weight loss in April this year. Previously, she claimed that she used only natural methods like eating carefully and staying off sodas. Plus she mentioned working out. She had gastric surgery but fell off the wagon after her Not to Hot days when she and Geno Doek spent a fortune on drugs and casinos.
Mama June is aware that she’s had a lifelong battle with her weight and with taking drugs. Sadly, her daughters seem to have similar genes that lead them to carry more than average weight. Especially Alana, AKA Honey Boo Boo. Recently, Pumpkin and her little sister opened up to InTouch Weekly about their thoughts of using Diabetic drugs to shed pounds.
Pumpkin Efird & Honey Boo Boo On Ozempic
Interstingly, Mama June: Family Crisis star, Honey Boo Boo isn’t interested in taking any weight loss drugs to help her get in shape. She told the outlet:
I would probably never take Ozempic. But if you want to take it, go right ahead. More power to you. More for you, cause I’m not taking it.
Mama June’s daughter Pumpkin previously expressed concern over her mom’s weight. Is she still worried about it? Well, the WeTV star had more to say about it than Honey Boo Boo. Possibly, because she had considered using Ozepmic herself. She explained:
I don’t have any bad thoughts. I know there’s some people who had really, really bad experiences with it, but there’s also that side of people who haven’t had any. If it works for you, it works for you.
The outlet also cited Mama June as saying that it’s important that people work with professionals who know the drugs. And, there is more than one kind. At the moment, she uses “Triglycerides.” Furthermore, she started losing track of her weight loss efforts when her daughter, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, passed away. Right now, she’s back on track and hoping for better health.

I don’t think these drugs should be used for weight loss. They are approved to help those with pre diabetes. Those people are having a hard time getting their medicine for a medical problem because people that have food addiction are using them. Ozempic is only approved for pre diabetes but doctors are using it off label for weight loss. I think waygovi is approved for weight loss. And I don’t have a problem with that one. I just have a problem with Ozempic being prescribed for weight loss over people that need it to help with an actual medica problem.
Wegovy and ozympic are the same drug – semaglutide. it was first used in Ozempic for diabetics, not pre-diabetics. I’ve used both ozympic and Mounjaro. Ozempic only has semaglutide, Mounjaro has semaglutide and tereprizide. I like Mounjoro best. I have less of the side effects such as constipation, nausea and throwing up, then I did with those Ozempic. also those drugs actually turn off your desire for food. in my case it also changes my taste buds so that I don’t enjoy food as much. I’ve lost around 70 lbs. my diabetes is under control, and so is my high blood pressure. also my cholesterol is just about perfect and I do not have fatty liver disease anymore. I cannot say enough good things about these drugs. I have not dieted at all while I was using these drugs, I just ate when and what I wanted. I just didn’t want much. for example, I can make a plate of food for myself and I’ll usually have three meals from it because I get full very fast. Honey boo boo should try one of the two of them are try one and if that doesn’t work try the other because she is young and is seriously overweight. she’s going to have a lot of problems very soon and those problems can be avoided.
Mama June wants anything that makes weight loss EASY and she can eat anything she wants.
