‘Modern Family’ Cast Member Angry At Being Left Out Of Reunion
For fans who miss Modern Family, there is a small reunion of the cast on TV right now. However, for one of the characters, he does not seem very happy about this. In the end, the cast of characters explains what happened, but he still seems to be getting cut out of the family’s chats.
Here is what the Modern Family cast is doing in the new TV spot.
Modern Family Cast Is Back, But What Happened To Mitchell?
Four members of the Modern Family cast are back on TV playing their show’s characters. However, one of them seems very unhappy he has been left out of some of the family’s adventures. Cameron wants things explained to him.
The new spot is a WhatsApp commercial. In the ad, Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell), Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen), and Cam Tucker (Eric Stonestreet) are sitting on the couch and looking at photos on their phone. They are all discussing a new photo Hayley (Sarah Hyland) sent in the family group chat.
Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) walks in, overhears, and asks to see the photo. Phil says something about the photo in the group chat, which results in a harsh look of silence by Cam and Claire. Phil realizes he shouldn’t have said anything, and Mitchell realizes they started a new family group chat without him. He shames them for leaving him out.
Cam and Claire explain it is Mitchell’s new phone with blurry photos, weird likes, and more. That is when a painter outside the house says they should use WhatsApp, which allows people with different phones to have conversations without the weird differences of different phones.
The commercial ends with Cam and Mitchell in bed, and Mitchell comments on a great photo he was cut out of. Cam responds that he will never be cut out of “here,” motioning to his heart.
Where Are Modern Family Actors Now?
Modern Family aired for 11 seasons from 2009 to 2020. The cast appeared throughout the series and have since gone on to further their careers elsewhere.
Ed O’Neal, 78, has most recently appeared in the miniseries Clipped as Donald Sterling, the disgraced former owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. Sofia Vergara has been the most visible, starring as a judge on the reality TV series America’s Got Talent. She recently also starred as the real-life drug lord Griselda Blanco in the movie Griselda.
Julie Bowan had a voice role in the 2023 series Hailey’s On It! and the movies The Fallout and Totally Killer. Ty Burrell voiced the lead character in Duncanville from 2020 to 2022.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson played a key role in Cocaine Bear in 2023 and the Broadway revival of Take Me Out in 2022. Eric Stonestreet plays Mad Santa in The Santa Clauses Season 2.
Sarah Hyland hosted Love Island USA from 2022 to 2023 and has the main role in Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin in 2022. Ariel Winter voiced D’Erika Tendi in Star Trek: Lower Decks in 2023. Nolan Gould was in a pair of smaller movies with Miranda’s Victim and The Nana Project. Ricardo Rodriguez hasn’t done anything since Modern Family.
