‘Mama June’ Honey Boo Boo’s Boyfriend Dralin Wants Kids
Mama June: Family Crisis star Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson’s boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, wants to have a family. Yet, is Alana on the same page as her beau of several years now? The eighteen-year-old did not grow up in the most functional household. Therefore, does that lead to some trepidation? Keep reading to see where they stand when it comes to children.
Mama June Honey Boo Boo’s Boyfriend Dralin Wants Kids
Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson struggled as she grew up with her mother in addiction. She then went to live with her sister, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird who was a new wife and mother. It was not ideal but that was what needed to be done. Mama June was in and out of her children’s lives for many years, often choosing substances and men first, kids second. Living with Pumpkin, Alana was soon surrounded by children. However, it did come out that Alana went to live with her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell at the age of 16.
Along with that, Alana learned that her mother had stolen around $30K from her and her sister, Anna Cardwell was diagnosed with cancer. So, there has been a lot to deal with in her formative years. Now, she has completed her first year at Regis University in Colorado and Dralin was there by her side. They seem to be going strong, so much so that he is thinking forward to having a family. According to the Daily Mail, he wants to have a lot of kids but does Alana feel the same?
She detailed how the couple are on very different pages when it comes to babies and their ideal family structure:
“He wants kids and I don’t want kids. I told him after I graduate school and stuff then that would be the time to talk about kids. I definitely don’t want no kids while I’m in school, for sure.”
So, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson is showing that she has her priorities in order when it comes to schooling and getting her degree. Though Dralin wants a bunch of littles running around, Alana has her mind set on the number she is good with:
“I told him ‘I can meet you in the middle and we can have one.’ One and done, that’s it.”
Happy Together
When Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson first started dating Dralin Carswell, she posted a photo on her social media. Yet, she was slammed for it, believing some struggled with the fact that she was in an interracial relationship. Plus, Dralin was 20 when he started dating a 16-year-old Alana so that also caused some drama. However, she maintains that she is happy and that they love each other very much, he keeps her balanced and that is all that matters. They just need to come to a happy medium when it comes to the amount of children they are having.
